Beautiful setting & very tranquil surroundings
Restricted menu choices. Lovely room but we had a constant loud humming noise coming from somewhere which was mentioned to reception.
The location
There was maybe dog hair in the room and a few long black hairs I assume from a previous occupant.
Very comfortable accommodation with interesting sitting areas- good leisure facilities
Lovely property and restaurants
Felt at full capacity and too many rules in the swimming pool area around children
Nice setting and good location. Used the tennis courts and 6 hole pitch and putt.
N/A
Wonderful place, full of things to do and explore as well as it has a really strong focus on health and wellness. Loved the art foundation, a very special place for a special event - we had our anniversary there. They left us a lovely hand written message and a treat in the room - small beautiful details go a long way. Staff are great, it’s elegant and also relaxed at the same time, doesn’t feel pretentious or stuffy even if it’s high end and has top quality services, restaurants and projects.
it's a nice hotel with a good atmosphere, the breakfast is really good
After a check in a member of staff was assigned to show us to our room - nice touch, however he set off at a clip and we could not keep up with him - not least because he did not offer to help my wife with her bag?
Later in the restaurant we ordered steaks. Seriously premium meet, it was spoilt by being over cooked, twice. the second time we were too hungry to complain again and just ate it
Location
Torn and worn carpets, broken glass on the floor in our room, had to ask at 16:15hrs for our room to be serviced. The staff at breakfast were shocking, waited 45mins for coffee, had to chase three times, in came after we’d finished our breakfast which came out within 3mins, of ordering (I didn’t expect a ping breakfast at Goodwood) the whole breakfast service was terrible.
The location is excellent and the interior of the room was lovely
There had been a leak and so the hallway leading to our room was damp and part of the plaster was coming away.
Lovely classical decor and ambient lighting throughout the hotel and room itself.
Ac worked well (after having to change from room 252, where it was broken).
Spacious room, nice bathroom, lovely towels.
Very comfy bed and duvet.
Plenty of storage, hanging space and full length mirrors.
Nice seating areas around the hotel although no AC in those spaces.
Really nice bar and outdoor seating area.
Plenty of parking
Very friendly front desk staff,
Excellent coffee we ordered from room service and great drinks in the bar.
Great location, close to the beautiful South Downs and picturesque villages.
No hairdryer in the room but we took our own.
No toilet brush to clean the loo.
Could do with a fridge or mini bar.
No plug sockets near the bed, so bring long leads, extension lead or portable phone charger.
Carpets around the hotel look a bit tired.
We ate out in Chichester which we found catered more to our food tastes.
The bar and grill was closed to guests on the first night when we arrived.
room, facilities , evening restaurant
Breakfast - needed better planning, mine and my daughters breakfast got forgotten
Location and staff
Rooms need a makeover and breakfast was a bit chaotic
