Due to an accident I had recently went had to cancel our holiday plans. So as a pick me up and celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary, we booked a one night stay at the hotel. I am currently on crutches. Upon our arrival, the receptionist Harriet, moved us to a down stairs room, which made things a lot easier. Also a box of chocolates were in the room, for our anniversary. Breakfast was a feast of delicious food, which was constantly being refilled and refreshed. The hotels decore and feel we're charming and stylish.

All of it! 2nd time we have been and the Hotel, staff and facilities are excellent.
Only gripe, and it really is the only gripe, don't bother using the in-house map to walk from the Hotel to The Kennels (which is a superb restaurant) - you will get lost! Even some of the staff agreed it was not helpful.
Large comfortable air conditioned room, beautiful bed linen and towels. Very helpful and friendly staff. The meals and breakfasts were excellent. Lovely pool and spa area.
Nothing, but a fridge in the room would have been useful.

Only issue we had was there was no 3 plug socket to charge our mobile by the bed
The staff was fantastic, the room, the interior design, the super dog-friendly policy, the massages (exceptional). We also visited the art foundation and it was great.
A more articulate F&B offer: I think this is the only point not completely up to standards. Maybe I would recommend to put A/C also in the common areas: when we stayed it was incredibly hot and I couldn't enjoy a good reading in the lounge.

The Goodwood Hotel made a much appreciated effort to give us a wonderful wedding anniversary break. Little touches like the welcome chocolates in the room and helping to keep the surprise my husband had organised for me. Breakfast was superb - so much choice and great food. The service was also good even though very busy. We had an anniversary meal the night before and want to say a particular thank you to our waitress, who I think was called Maddie. She was great: very attentive and very kind and she offered to take photos for us. Her efforts were much appreciated. During the day, we took a turn about the estate, which was lovely. Gorgeous, beautiful grounds, really special.
I also used the spa which was calming and peaceful. The beautician was very chatty and friendly. (Review by Mrs D)
Well.... if I have to say anything it would be that we went to the bar after our anniversary meal and we were in the cozy snug for a while relaxing with our guests who had come from quite far, when someone from the bar told us we have to go elsewhere because a wedding party was about to come in. At that point we were just about ready to go anyway, but it did kind of make us feel like second class citizens. Not the end of the world but also not great. I would have preferred it if they'd told us at the beginning it was only free until 11pm rather than move us on.
I also wasn't keen on the view from our room - just green scrubby grass, no garden; nothing special. That said, overall the stay was wonderful and the staff we met really welcoming. (Review by Mrs D)
Great room with a huge bed and excellent linen.
The breakfast room had a lovely atmosphere and the food was great.
We used the pool and joined in with aqua aerobics which was fun!

The choice of food in the bar and grill was poor and you can’t get served after 8pm.
On our second day at breakfast it was less organised and we waited quite a while to be served.
Although we enjoyed our stay I did feel it was expensive and maybe not worth the cost.

Our room was incredibly dark. Small window and low light bulbs so no pleasure to sit or read. The bar was shared with golf courses and although lovely sitting out area service very slow and scones had run out.

The resturant was had a very limited choice - I am veggie so ended up having two starters as inly only one veggie option
The size of the bed was amazing and comfortable for a perfect nights sleep!! The rooms were slightly dated but nothing to really complain about.
The on site gym was really modern and well kept - a very nice touch for us to start the day.
The on-site restaurant ambience for dinner was very inviting - drinks and starters were gorgeous but the main steaks / meat sharer boards and burgers were really disappointing and did not justify the prices at all we had to complain :(
BUT I really have to say the staff were so kind and helpful - a piece of my dress got lost after we checked out from a wedding and they quite literally moved heaven and earth to find it. I honestly couldn’t thank them enough!!!
Lovely well appointed room with sitting area, very comfortable bed, wet room as had requested shower instead of bath, nice amenities, little extras I found useful. Easy parking. Very welcoming reception staff.
