Room looking tired and place not the cleanest.
Pros:

Brekfast was ok

Cons:

not stayed there for a few years, when the Hotel was Mariott owned it was imaculate and the best beds and now it is looking tired and not the cleanest. staff were great though.

The breakfast was all good & hot.

Cons:

I asked gir a room with a nice view as the hotel stood in a very large area of private gardens land & a golf course, unfortunately I got room 232 with a wall of other rooms no view what so ever.

It was only a one night we had a decent evening meal and breakfast and a drink at the bar all served well and the staff
Pros:

The building and location were stunning

Cons:

The beds and in particular pillows were very uncomfortable neither of us got much sleep

Pros:

First time staying here, and certainly won't be the last, the staff were lovely and helpful too, the menu for breakfast impressed me very much, I have celiac disease so very strict gluten free diet, and the options were outstanding, the chef was amazing and he was happy to help and to make whatever needed, also separate area for gluten free items/toaster too, will absolutely be back again, the hotel was clean, cosy and had was very easy on the eye, easy check in, reception staff were very nice, unfortunately didn't get chance to use to leisure facilities but will definitely be doing so next time

A bargain that needs some tlc to bring it back to its former glory
Pros:

A beatiful setting. A nice size pool with steam room and sauna. A decent dining room. Plenty of space to relax together with other members of the party.

Cons:

A tinge shabby. In need of some updates. Like old versions of electric outlets by the beds making use of chargers tricky. Some rooms had fridges some didnt. Many rooms had no safe. Others had safes that were not hooked up. We jad a poorly designed toilet mechanism that kept breaking.

Some good, some bad, for the price, disappointing
Pros:

The location was perfect, and the food was very good! The gym was good, and the spa facilities look good (although we did not use them).

Cons:

The room felt old and dated, and the shower was not very good or very hot. We stayed for two nights and there was no fresh towels given. We stayed in a “suit” but it did not feel very special at all, and for the price was expensive.

Reception staff not friendly on check in, all matter of fact i was staying two nights so informed they wont make up room, i asked about change of towels was told to ask next morning,so i paid two nights but they were only wishing to clean once….
