Pros:

Location

Cons:

1. We were told it's not a service hotel. That means no housekeeping. No one to do the rooms if you stay 3 nights . It was ridiculous . We had no towels , no beds done . Need a refund . No one cleaned our rooms too. Bins were overflowing in the room
2. They refused to give us a toilet roll and we were told we get one toilet roll per customer. Its ridiculous.
3. My friend and I are disabled and there was no one to help with luggage. We only got help after we asked many many times and begged them .
4. The restaurant overcharged us .

Kindly do not promote this hotel as a Good hotel as it has no such quality and we were struggling by thd end if it .

Pros:

Nice hotel . Tidy . Staff attentative .restaurant very nice .

Cons:

So this visit i satyed in The Ilkley Suite. Pillows were quite hard, coffee machine would not work, I would recommend replacing this completely..
Light control panel at side of bed did not function at all..
The light switches at the entrance to the suite at the wall were so badly deformed I actually wondered if there was a risk of an electric shock .

Everything felt like a good quality experience

Cons:

The spa was closed, the main reason we chose this hotel over others was due to the spa option

Nice location and grounds but awful food
Pros:

The location is very good and the grounds are lovely. The room was a decent size as was the bathroom. All the staff on reception were very efficient and helful

Cons:

The food we had in the Grill on the Hill was really bad - over microwaved steak pie almost carbonised black meat and concrete pastry, limp undercooked bad oven chips and no veg except small ramekin of peas. The staff were unattentive and did not check on our meals even though the restaurant was not busy so we cancelled our other 2 night bookings for the restaurant. We were still charged for them when we saw the invoice but we have written asking for a refund and I will report back if we hear from them. The breakfasts were a generous offering but why oh why were all the paltes cold so by the time we served ourselves with evertything the meal was also cold. Not servicing rooms is becoming more likely and is not a problem for a 1 night stay but is a real pain for 3 nights having to que at reception for tea bags and toilet rolls !
