Budget friendly luxury
Pros:

It feels so relaxed and luxurious while keeping within budget. Even though there was no Aircon, the room was able to stay cool from the fan that was provided. Excellent facilities with having both a bath and a shower, and large comfortable beds.

Cons:

The food area is a little too sports bar for the type of property this is, but this didn’t deter us from eating there. There is no lift though which is a struggle when you have heavy bags.

3 nightmare days in this hotel
Pros:

I spent 3 night here. Arrived 6 pm room not ready sat outside room on floor doing emails waiting for 15 minutes. Route too the room is a maze of stairs and corridors. No good for disabled people. Right outside my room is door to pool. But this is always locked. I had to walk down 4 floors across to reception they gave further instructions the march was not over across hotel up more stairs. I find the door to gym. Get get in, go too golf shop. They tell me i need to pay £5. Put it on my room. We dont have that facility. I finally get back to shop with wallet and pay, get entry to spa, pool ok jacuzzi ok, steam room doesn’t work.

Later i go to reception and ask where menu is for the room. I dont wan5 to eat in the bar with pissed up golfers.

We dont have room service order food and carry it to your room.

No rooms have air con. And you can only charge at the desk. Not by the bed.

Staff are perfect. 🤩. Owners of hotel no idea how to run it

Not a 4 star hotel in my opinion, needs investment, tidying up and policies reviewing.
Pros:

I do not normally do negative reviews but in this case I will make an exception. It is an easy fix for the management to make....TIDY THE PLACE UP!
Turning up to find the front door 'out of order' and taped up with red and white plastic hazard tape was indicative. No air con in room. No fridge in room. No making up of room at all for 3 night stay. All inclusive dining menu appalling until complaint. Use of spa and gym not included for hotel guests, a £5 surcharge per person was required. We refused and were only allowed access for our stay without payment as we threatened to cancel the 2 x £95 massage treatments we had already booked. Litter and cigarette ends scatted everywhere in the general access outside spaces such as the restaurant terrace.
The standard of cleanliness was generally appalling. Most of the willing staff were not particularly able and most of the more able staff were not particularly willing. Non dairy white coffee was an issue at breakfast, we insisted one morning and it was done through 'gritted teeth' and the next morning it was refused. The hours for breakfast are all wrong. 07-09 on weekdays and 07-10 at weekends. Both sessions end half an hour early and were policed with unnecessary rigor. The price of everything was 'top-end' and the value of much of it 'mid to lower end'. eg 2 x G&T £ 27.00. We played 9 holes of golf twice, the course was very good and not busy at the late afternoon tee times we had, but it felt very expensive to play and also to hire very average clubs. We just spent the one hour drive back home talking non-stop about how unnecessarily poor this experience was. As it stands...not recommended.

Everyday guests no - golfers yes?
Pros:

My partner and I only stayed here for 2 nights, whilst visiting friends nearby, but should have been three, but due to;
Very hot weather our room was extremely hot and humid. We could not open our window to let air in due to a 5 inch retaining cord., one fan that was almost useless. We were though aware that the high temperature was unusual, but felt that the hotel could have done more to make guests more comfortable. The coolest place was the restaurant.
Breakfast hours 8am - 9am not good unless you wanted to play golf early, and the full English cooked comprised mainly of yesterdays left overs with a little bit added on. The bacon was so hard and tough you could not eat it, let alone cut it!
As for supper, that was almost laughable, half the items on the menu card were not available, even at 7pm and then the member of the bar taking orders got ours and another tables wrong.
We have to say though that the grounds and golf course looked beautiful. So for golfers it’s ok, but not for just everyday staying guests.
Return! No I don’t think so!
