A great, quiet place for an overnight stay or a longer stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Some furniture already looks worn by time, the tulle is stained in places, the back of the sofa has not been vacuumed

The whole place seemed to be run down and in need of a serious revamp. Walking to my room the hallways smelt of mould. My room was not very clean at all.

The fact we had a couple of drinks at the bar before we had food when we went to order at 7pm I was told they are stopping taking orders so they could cover a wedding guest.
Setting was good apart from the derelict tennis courts. It had a pleasant look but an underlying feeling of being run down, faded elegance. The beds were comfortable and the staff were pleasant.
No housekeeping. We were there for 5 nights. Whilst this may work for a 1 or 2 night stay it didn’t for us. We asked for the towels to be changed, and new ones were supplied on the bed but the dirty ones were left in a heap in the bathroom. We also had to ask for more toilet rolls. The TV remote didn’t work. We were supplied with new batteries which were held in place with tape. Only 2 channels worked. Our dark room overlooked a courtyard with a gurney full of dirty linen (the whole stay). The curtains were stained badly. The standard lamp was broken but was repaired on request. The hotel was very busy on the Saturday but there appeared to be no extra staff at breakfast. We had to ask for spoons, bowls, tea bags croissants and bread. When my husband asked a member of staff whether there was any more hand cut loaves , they replied, “When it’s gone it’s gone.”The cutlery supplied was dirty. All of the lids on the hot food containers were damaged or broken.There were just too many things to make it an enjoyable stay; it was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
Was a lovely place to stay, the staff were friendly and really helpful. My children enjoyed the pool while I made the most of the sauna and jacuzzi.

The bedroom was really comfortable and modern, the swimming pool and spa area.
The windows needed to be cleaned and the revolving door at the entrance was broken . I didn’t realise that you had to pay a small fee for the swimming pool/spa area

Getting to and from hotel a pain with all the roadworks
Staff and facilities were excellent. We arrived last and were still able to get a meal. Hotel location was ideal for Southampton IoW ferry port.
Booking.com did not make it clear the room on offer was an internal room, no windows or AC on the hotest day of the year. We spoke to the hotel reception and were given an upgrade to a room with a window, excellent service. Booking.com could make the offers clearer detail-wise.

Room smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Had to change rooms but room was smaller & not like for like. Dated and tired room & spa.
Fire alarm kept going off in the evening meaning we kept having to leave the room.
Restaurant staff - not at all helpful. Waited 10 minutes to be seated while staff just ignored us. Eventually found my own table, only to be told very abruptly that I couldn’t sit there. Dinner ordered and arrived without cutlery or even a word. Had to wait another 10 minutes for cutlery that didn’t arrive. Eventually had to ask at bar. Bar staff like to avoid service. Stand around shining glasses or avoiding eye contact. Long wait at bar due to them disappearing/lack of communication.
This was my second stay. First wasn’t great either but I gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt and returned but I was very equally dissatisfied.
