We only stayed 1 night, the rooms were nice and comfy and generally quiet. I slept well. The location was great and local to some good value places to eat
The bathtub wasn't clean, we'd travelled 5 hours from Wales and I was looking forward to a good soak in the bath, but had to spend 15 minutes cleaning it due to many hairs all round the taps, icky stains and stuff in the bath from whomever had a shower/bath previously. After a good night's sleep, I read Google reviews, I didn't see any point in saying anything as problems with cleanliness seem to have been going on a while. I particularly wanted to use the spa and swim in the morning but became reluctant after reading reviews and experiencing the ick in the bath tub also.
Oh and we had to choose between charging phones for the rest of our journey and plugging in fans to keep cool as plug sockets were limited.
Staff moved us to a better room, room was still crap. Staff polite.
The room was very small, very dated and certainly not indicative of what I would expect of a 4 star hotel.
There was loud banging throughout the day, we could hear people talk as they walked past the room’s door.
The initial room we were given had no window and we were woken very early to very loud banging. The room was right by the hotels kitchen and so we heard voices and noises.
We were winged to anther room as we complained about the noise.
The other room was better and had a small window but again, the room was indicative of what you would expect from a 2 star hotel not 4. I have stayed in Travelodge that far exceed this place.
We ended up leaving on the second day as we did not like the noise levels.

Front of house staff lovely and welcoming already for our arrival . No delay in checking in , lovely lady did not get her name but we checked in around 1030pm

Bar was noisy and uncomfortable. Breakfast was average.
