Spending the birthday weekend at One Aldwych was the best present ever, never to be forgotten
Pros:

The best hotel I have stayed in. The staff were friendly, efficient and we can't thank them enough for making our stay so special. The swimming pool was a fabulous treat and breakfast was off the scale for deliciousness. We will never forget how we were made to feel part of the One Aldwych family and cannot recommend the hotel highly enough.

Cons:

There was nothing that could be improved upon. I loved the special touches like the flannel to remove make up in the bedroom and a shoe horn.

The location for bars, restaurants and sites of London is second to none .!

Cons:

Bed pillows were huge but no substance .. head just sank to the mattress !! Bar prices expensive .

A wonderful stay, in a great hotel in a fantastic location with perfect service.
Pros:

We arrived early, knowing that our room wouldn't be ready, but had a cocktail in the amazing lobby bar. We explored the local area for a while and were notified when our room was ready. Our room was amazing, very comfortable and well appointed. The service we received from all of the staff was wonderful and attentive. We dined in the Indigo restaurant for a pre-theatre meal, which was excellent.

Cons:

No negative comments, the whole stay was excellent.

Pros:

The location was fantastic. The rooms were very modern and clean. There was plenty space in the bathroom for toiletries (not always the case). The air conditioning was excellent. The soundproofing was also very good. The Dyson hairdryer was better than the usual hairdryer supplied in hotels. The complementary drinks and snacks were appreciated.

Cons:

The room could have been darker, with blackout blinds as well as curtains. Unfortunately, the main mirror was in the bathroom, and so the only mirror that could be used with the hairdryer was the small, free-standing shaving mirror, which is not adequate.

The biggest disappointment was being woken at 6 am by the fire alarm. There was a good deal of confusion (it kept stopping and starting) and, on the bedroom floors, no guidance from staff. It was eventually declared a false alarm but an explanation would have been appreciated, perhaps even some token of recompense, such as free drink or breakfast.

Quick trip to London
Pros:

Our travel agent booked us. We would never have found this by ourselves...It was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful facility, excellent service. Will definitely stay there again.

Exceptional stay
Pros:

I cannot say whether the hotel has been recently refurbished or simply maintained with exceptional care, but the suite we stayed in was immaculate. The thoughtful touches like fresh flowers, a complimentary minibar with snacks, the welcoming sweet‑and‑savory mix, and the 'handwritten' note made the experience feel very special.
I also want to acknowledge the wonderfully diverse team working there. The range of nationalities represented brings a depth of professionalism through their dedication to their craft.
The restaurant is bijou yet extremely comfortable, with an intimate feel and beautifully presented, delicious food. The bar area shifts effortlessly from a relaxed daytime café vibe to an evening atmosphere reminiscent of an American styled cocktail bar, stylish, warm, and inviting.
Lastly the library area was a welcome chillout area only available to hotel guest which was a really nice touch in the multiple seating area to simply hangout & unwind.

Wonderful gluten free options, does not appear that restaurant is completely gluten free anymore but was safe for my celiac child.
Was noisy facing Strand on a Saturday night- request upper level floor or room not facing Strand if you are sensitive to noise for sleep quality!
Helpful staff. excellent clean gym.

Superb Hotel with Fantastic staff
Pros:

The hotel is quite superb from the moment you enter the building. Beautiful settings and friendly staff.

All the facilities are superb including the chlorine free pool which made my stay, as chlorine makes me extremely unwell. The staff in the spa section were also extremely friendly, polite and helpful.

Our breakfast options were possibly the best I have ever had the pleasure to choose from. I was amazed that we had so many different delicious items that were included in our room cost. Again the service was exemplary by every waiter male and female.

This is an expensive hotel, but you do feel that you have stayed somewhere very special indeed.

It was our 35th wedding anniversary and we felt like royalty.

We can’t stay there as often as we would like but we will definitely be returning as soon as we can for special occasions.

We also enjoyed that we could have our room until midday. It made the morning so much more relaxed allowing time for a swim and to thoroughly enjoy the incredible breakfast.

Very highly recommended. Go and treat yourself, you will be pleased that you did.
