Pros:

Location

Cons:

Bedroom not as shown in picture more for disabled people. The bathroom was shower not a bath. Paid extra for breakfast and only had toast as no bowls for cereals no hot water for a hot drink there was coffee and tea out but couldn't have one as no water.spoke to staff and was told they only do as told not very good when said breakfast was paid for and ended having to pay again some where else to eat .when coming out of room all you could see was dirty laundry in room opposite to our room door was left opened .only a couple of staff on duty so was hard to find someone to speak to .
Husband went outside couldn't get back in as only went out to get something from car , only got back in because someone was going out as doors were locked and did ring the bell about dozen times and no one answer it . Not a nice place to stay as it had a musty smell as all doors were open from where all the dirty laundry was being kepted not a very nice sight to look at .would not stay there again.

Disappointing stay.
Pros:

Near to the centre.

Cons:

Very old and run down. Bedroom door had been smashed into previously, has there were holes and you could see where the wood had been replaced badly, so you could lock the door. Wasn’t has clean as I would have expected it to be.
Not much choice for continental breakfast or vegetarians. Hot food was not as hot as it should be. Also sausages were awful, everyone left them on their plates.

A bit run down, but good location
Pros:

The hotel was conveniently located near the town centre. The staff were pleasant. Breakfast was basic but everything was good. The bed was reasonably comfortable.

Cons:

I had booked a double room with a double bed, but was given a twin room with two singles. The bedroom window wouldn't close so there was quite a lot of traffic noise during the night. The bed was very high.

Cheap OK stay
Pros:

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location for town centre. Free car park. Comparatively cheap. bedroom, bathroom and linen clean, corridors and lift not so much. Fine for a one night stay.

Cons:

Hotel very tired and run down, has the apperance of having been being passed down the hotels food chain, with previous owners signs in evidence. Was once a Mercure. Didn't seem to be many people staying there. Minimalistic continental breakfast. Bar had no wine, despite wine list. Front door locked when returned at 23.50 and call to reception/concierge went to voicemail. After much banging on door someone eventually turned up.

Ok
Pros:

Comfy bed , smart tv

Cons:

The feel of the place has changed since the new takeover and not for the better , feels like a lack of personal touches, not many staff on a shift either, needs a mini fridge in the rooms

A very comfortable cosy stay with everything we needed
Pros:

Great car park
lovely room very comfy bed and bedding quiet exceptionally clean generous hospitality tray lovely hot shower black out curtain super friendly staff complementary continental breakfast

Cons:

Due to city centre location they keep the reception door locked which is great for security, but a bit disconcerting when we first arrived until staff explained.
