All three rooms we tried smelled like mold. Ran into another couple and they were having the same problem. We finally settled on a room on the 1st floor. Would not recommend.

Nice hotel within easy reach of Patriots Point
Pros:

I have stayed in a number of Comfort inns. This one was okay. The room was generally clean. Gym was simple and well used. Could have done with a cycling machine. Staff were nice enough to talk to and would offer assistance once asked. The wonderful Chef that served breakfast was enthusiastic and talkative creating a general friendly environment in the morning.

The bed was comfortable and room a great size. The location was excellent for Patriots Point very walkable which I would thoroughly encourage. However getting to Charleston definitely requires a car or $25 Uber.

Parking was great in terms of location. Expect it to get busy throughout the evening.

Cons:

It was obvious some TLC could be used on the doors and general maintenance of the property, especially the doors, elevator and carpet. But the room was pleasant.

Pleasant people, Pleasant stay.
Pros:

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. We have nothing negative to say about our stay. Everything was great.

Pros:

Convenient location. There was a good variety of food for breakfast. The ice machines worked. Coffee available all the time. Beds were comfortable.

Cons:

Our room had a musty odor. Most of the carpet throughout the hotel was dirty and worn. Hot water was only available during breakfast.

It was a nice stay. Close to what we came to the area for. Breakfast staff was cranky. Beds were harder than we like.

The staff for breakfast was complaining about guests being there for breakfast. Staff was also complaining about the guests being using the luggage carts. Beds were also too hard.
