The room was more like a hostel than a hotel ... no hot water pressure, barely able to have a shower, bath impossible ... I booked and payed for two nights but only stayed one ... no proper arrangements for breakfast (7:30 to 8:30 on a weekend???).
The staff were lovely and the room was very clean.
The fittings in the room are very dated. It looked like a very cheap motel room in the USA.

Location was perfect and easy access and parking.
It’s like a maze finding your room. Walls are very thin, can hear all of next door’s conversations.
Pool table was out of order and the bar area seemed very run down
Easy walk to Weston Favell shopping centre and a bus stop not too far away to get to Northampton centre.
The only day breakfast was served was on a Sunday and a stair carpet had a clump of cream or some such material for a couple of days without being cleaned

shortage of sockets in room, very basic cheap feel to docor, the noise was un aceptable you could hear people showering upstairs and using there toilet , door in passage outside the room bangs shut evertime someone goes through it, staff thought it was acceptable to move laundry carts around outside bedroom window at 11.30 at night and 6am in the morning, I have a room booked for the next week, but have booked elsewhere, would rather lose the monet than go back there

Being in a housing estate the streets was very narrow but that is a minor fault

the staff I met were helpful and provided a passable level of service based on what needed to do.
the overall look of the hotel needs some attention and a bit of TLC a very nasty smell as entered hotel musky and stale,also when going to my room felt like a smoky smell in corridors and rooms as I passed very strong smell again.My room was plain functional fairly basic felt clean couple of issues the hairdryer did not work and the shower operation was unclear in my room had to call for assistance for explanation how to use.
