Ordered breakfast in my room as was included in my B&b price
Turns out it wasn’t if you took it in your room - cost me £46 for an omelette, slice of toast and a coffee!
An absolutely wonderful stay at GSY. The staff was the standout, they were incredibly hospitable and acoomodating. We traveled with 2 small children and strollers and when they saw us coming in, they never let us manage the strollers down the small landing solo. The breakfast was to die for, so delicious and amazing quality. The rooms were gorgeous and for London standards I felt they were quite spacious! Lastly the location cannot be beat. We knew based on prior reviews we were in a great location, but not until we actually arrived and started to explore did we realize just how good. We walked to so many attractions and had fun accidentally discovering so many iconic landmarks as well as hidden gems. I will absolutely stay here on my future visits to London!
We had a wonderful two-night stay at Great Scotland Yard Hotel. It is charming, beautifully designed, and perfectly located in the heart of the city, making it an ideal base for exploring London. Our room was beautiful, well-appointed and comfortable. A very special thank you to Julian, the security guard, who went above and beyond to help us on the day we departed. Due to road closures for the marathon, our car service driver was unable to reach the hotel. Julian patiently communicated with the driver, provided an alternate route, and then personally escorted us and our suitcases down the street to meet the car. His kindness, professionalism, and willingness to go the extra mile turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless experience. We would gladly stay at Great Scotland Yard again!
The Great Scotland Yard Hotel is probably one of my favorite boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed at.
From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. Every single staff member I met was genuinely kind, friendly, and welcoming.
One of my favorite things about the hotel is the interiors design. Every space is beautifully decorated, from the lobby to the breakfast dining room, the bar and restaurant, and even the guest rooms. There are so many thoughtful details throughout the hotel, and it all comes together to create such a charming, elegant atmosphere. I absolutely loved the vibe.
The room was incredibly comfortable. The bed and pillows were excellent, and I slept so well every night. I also have to give a shout out to the heated toilet seat and bidet. It’s one of those little luxuries that makes a stay so much more enjoyable.
The location is fantastic too. It’s easy to walk to many of London’s major attractions, and the Tube is just a short walk away when you want to get somewhere farther.
The biggest surprise for me was the breakfast. After staying in hundreds of hotels over the years, I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. It doesn’t feel like a typical hotel breakfast at all. It feels like sitting down for breakfast at a really good restaurant. Everything was freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The dining room can get a little busy during peak hours, but that’s a small tradeoff for how good the food is.
I genuinely looked forward to coming back to the hotel after a day of exploring London. It’s one of those places that just feels special, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!
We had a short stay in London after visiting the country side. It was perfectly located. The hotel was clean, well decorated and worth every penny. The breakfast was the best we had the whole trip.
Gorgeous hotel we loved our stay.
Wonderful atmosphere as soon as you enter reception and how attentive the hotel staff are towards each guest.
Excellent city location to river, embankment and many well know London landmarks and tube stations.
What a convenient location! We stay here July 6 - 10, during a major heat wave. The staff was wonderful and the facilities were great. Our room faced the inner courtyard, so it was very quiet even through we are in a major tourist area. We will definitely return again.
Always a convenient location for a running event we take part in.
Having stayed at the hotel before this was probably the smallest room we have ever had. Asked for a quiet room and had to change as initial room was opposite service lift, not quiet. We were spoilt as we had a balcony last year. Not the size of room I would expect given the price.
Service was outstanding. Food good. Room was very comfortable. The location of this hotel is outstanding. Very close to sites and transportation
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! Gregory and the hotel staff made us feel so special for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of London and we found it easy to navigate to our planned activities. Breakfast service was excellent and the staff was very attentive. Food was great. Rooms were clean and well air-conditioned in the summer heat. We would not hesitate to stay here again!
great hotel. staff was attentive. rooms were clean and well-stocked. We had a courtyard facing room and it was vey quiet.
Superb hotel with beautiful décor that has been thoughtfully designed to preserve its original character and features. The service and hospitality were excellent throughout our stay.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.
Exceptional hospitality, service and breakfasts!
Locatuion in the heart of beautiful London with all major sights at a walking distance.
This hotel has location, comfort and service nailed. Plenty of space, quiet, awesome bathroom and beds so comfortable I really wish I knew mfg. so could buy one! Not kidding lol. Worth the price so if your thinking of booking a stay just do it…..
The location was fab. Quirky bar theme and clean and smart room. Staff helpful and friendly.
Our room didn’t look the example of a Premium Deluxe room on the website. I thought the addition at checkout of a gratuity for the hotel room ( not the staff service) was a bit much.
Excellent location, fabulous food and service! The shashouka at breakfast was one of our favorites! The hotel is beautiful with great charm. You can easily walk to Carnaby Street, SoHo, Covent gardens for shopping and food. Also perfect if catching shows in the West End.
