Gorgeous hotel we loved our stay.
Wonderful atmosphere as soon as you enter reception and how attentive the hotel staff are towards each guest.
Excellent city location to river, embankment and many well know London landmarks and tube stations.
Always a convenient location for a running event we take part in.
Having stayed at the hotel before this was probably the smallest room we have ever had. Asked for a quiet room and had to change as initial room was opposite service lift, not quiet. We were spoilt as we had a balcony last year. Not the size of room I would expect given the price.
Service was outstanding. Food good. Room was very comfortable. The location of this hotel is outstanding. Very close to sites and transportation
My husband and I had a wonderful stay here! Gregory and the hotel staff made us feel so special for our wedding anniversary. The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of London and we found it easy to navigate to our planned activities. Breakfast service was excellent and the staff was very attentive. Food was great. Rooms were clean and well air-conditioned in the summer heat. We would not hesitate to stay here again!
great hotel. staff was attentive. rooms were clean and well-stocked. We had a courtyard facing room and it was vey quiet.
Superb hotel with beautiful décor that has been thoughtfully designed to preserve its original character and features. The service and hospitality were excellent throughout our stay.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.
Exceptional hospitality, service and breakfasts!
Locatuion in the heart of beautiful London with all major sights at a walking distance.
This hotel has location, comfort and service nailed. Plenty of space, quiet, awesome bathroom and beds so comfortable I really wish I knew mfg. so could buy one! Not kidding lol. Worth the price so if your thinking of booking a stay just do it…..
The location was fab. Quirky bar theme and clean and smart room. Staff helpful and friendly.
Our room didn’t look the example of a Premium Deluxe room on the website. I thought the addition at checkout of a gratuity for the hotel room ( not the staff service) was a bit much.
Excellent location, fabulous food and service! The shashouka at breakfast was one of our favorites! The hotel is beautiful with great charm. You can easily walk to Carnaby Street, SoHo, Covent gardens for shopping and food. Also perfect if catching shows in the West End.
My partner and I stayed for three nights (15–18 June). The location is excellent, the concept is interesting, and the staff we encountered were genuinely warm and helpful. I want to make that clear, because what follows is not written out of spite.
During our stay we encountered a number of issues that, at this price point, simply should not occur: no toilet brush in the bathroom at any point during the stay; no hairdryer or power socket in the bathroom itself. after searching, we found a hairdryer in the room, but its plug was loose and poorly secured, which is a safety concern, and of course it means having to dry your hair in the middle of the room. A persistently noisy air conditioning unit; a broken window slider; poor TV picture quality with out-of-sync audio; a tissue dispenser and make-up remover that were never restocked; a sweetener that was never refilled; accessibility grab bars near the sink that were dusty and marked with stains; and on our last night, a toilet flush that would not stop running and required repeated pressing to reset.
Perhaps the most frustrating housekeeping moment: on day two, my used water glass was returned to my bedside with the paper seal placed back on to, the water still inside.
On check-in we were told we had received an upgrade. We could not identify any difference from our original booking.
I raised all of this in a detailed email to the hotel's info@ address, followed by a follow-up a week later. At the time of writing, nearly two weeks on, I have received no response, not even an acknowledgement.
For a hotel positioning itself at this level, that silence is more damaging than any of the individual issues above.
I am not seeking compensation. A response and an acknowledgement would have been entirely sufficient.
I will not be returning.
Great location good facilities
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in London. The room they provided was very nice, comfortable, and honestly more than I expected. The amenities were great, especially the gym, and I really enjoyed the breakfast food.
The location was also very ideal, especially for first-time tourists. It was close to everything, including many tourist attractions, and it was perfect for walking and running around the area.
The staff were very kind and helpful. After a long and tiring boat and bus tour, we came back to the hotel before check-in time, and they were able to accommodate us as soon as they could. I was so grateful because I was really tired and just needed to rest.
Overall, the service was excellent, the room was beautiful, the location was perfect, and the people at the hotel made our stay feel very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great overnight stay. Room was super, good a/c, very comfortable bed and elegant marble shower room. Staff were all very professional and helpful. Really wonderful position down quiet historic street, whilst only a few yards walk to Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. A calm gem in the middle of the heat, hustle and bustle of central London. We will definitely come back.

Excellent location -easy access to buses and underground. Lovely hotel-great room, wonderful lobby and great bar on site. The staff also was so helpful-shout out to Shirley!!! She made the experience that much better!!
We loved everything about the hotel. It is very centrally and conveniently located. The decor is beautiful and quirky in the best possible way. Staff is always helpful and attentive. We stayed at their standard suite and it was spacious and with a very comfortable layout. Housekeeping was multiple times a day but not intrusive (just put on dnd sign if not needed). Globalist breakfast was decent. The only thing that could use improvement is the quality of fruit at the buffet. Already planning to return!
There were several things I really liked about Great Scotland Yard. The hotel was very clean and always smelled fresh. The breakfast was excellent each morning, and Lara at the front desk was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the bar, and the drinks were very good.
Unfortunately, I cannot consider this a true five-star hotel because of the air conditioning issues in Room 326. We had maintenance come to the room and attempt to fix the problem, but it never improved. On our final night, I called the front desk again and was told that maintenance had gone home for the evening, but someone would look into it and call me back. We never received a resolution. On the day of checkout, my fiancée also spoke with a staff member about the issue, but it didn’t appear that anything could be done.
I genuinely wanted to give this hotel five stars because everything else about the stay was excellent. However, a hotel room’s primary purpose is to provide a comfortable place to sleep, and the lack of functioning air conditioning made that impossible. I had some of the worst sleep I’ve experienced in a hotel over those three nights.
For a property charging $500–$600+ per night, a comfortable sleeping environment should be the bare minimum expectation. Until the air conditioning issues are addressed, I would have difficulty recommending this hotel to others. It wasn’t fun barely sleeping at night and waking up sweaty.
