The elevator was iffy. When we first arrived, after several minutes it never came, and we had to haul our luggage up the stairs. Also, the pool was ice cold! We were excited for the pool and were sad it was so cold. We also heard our upstairs neighbors late at night walking around, which isn't ideal with kids. I'd recommend a top floor room.

Description said pets welcome but may require extra fee at property. That extra fee was $75 for a small Chihuahua and we made sure he didn't make a mess at all. They said it may be up to $75 for the pet cleaning fee (had to pay $100 deposit) if the dog makes a mess. We've stayed at other hotels in the area that allowed pets without getting charged like this (3 days after checking out). If you have a pet do not stay here and find one of the places in the area that doesn't charge extra. $75 would be enough for a room upgrade or having another adult staying in the room. The property had also been sprayed for either bugs or weeds with signs warning not to have pets go on the grass~ so we walked across the parking lot where we found the local spot to throw used condoms. The room itself was nice and location was good but between the extra $75 for the dog and not having a decent place to walk him felt like a total rip off. We won't stay here again even when traveling without a pet.

The only downside was that some areas could use a little updating, and there were minor inconveniences during the stay. Nothing major, but a few small improvements would make the experience even better.

Definitely needs to be cleaned better the pool was nasty and the room had hair and wasn't the cleanest needs updated and some tender love and care

The elevator was the first of a few things that needs help. I almost went to the front desk to ask the last time it was serviced. It was very sketchy, and sounds like it hasn't been serviced in years. Once we got off the elevator heading to our room, we could tell immediately which room was ours. The carpet was falling off the wall and hanging in front of our door. The room itself was clean, the housekeeping does an excellent job. It's spacious and liked having the bedroom separate from the living room. The kitchen is a bonus. The kids used the pool, and the pool was pretty cold but it was a nice area. There is no hot tub, you would have to walk across the street to the 'sister' hotel and use their hot tub. Also, there is happy hour, but not at this hotel, again at the sister hotel. (We may stay at the sister hotel next time). Anyway, our key cards stopped working on the 3rd day, I went down to the desk 3 times to get new cards and they still didn't work. Finally, they sent maintenance up with wd40 to 'fix' it. Our dishwasher didn't work to wash the dishes we used, and the kitchen sink wouldn't stop leaking water from the faucet. Lastly, the breakfast reviews online said the breakfast was great. It was OK. Not a lot of options, and the options given were mostly foods that were warmed and left in plastic that you could buy at a gas station. Now, something is better than nothing, but don't get excited. We do travel quite often and usually have great things to say, but at this time this hotel needs a little bit of upkeep and a bit more of paying attention to details.
