I like the location, the facilities were amazing.
I didn't like the fact that I was there for my 35th anniversary with my wife and reserved a room 2 months in advance for a king size bed. When we got there, I was told the only thing they had was two queens. Now if I'm not mistaken a reservation means they hold that room for you for that date. It started my entire weekend with my wife off on the wrong foot. I was not happy and if the word anniversary means anything to anybody you would understand why I did not want two queen size beds.
Not much.
The staff was rude at check in. The room we received just happened to be next door to a couple that was sharing their sexual experience and their music at different times. It was very disgusting. I tried calling the front desk and no one would answer. I had to get dressed and go to the front desk at 1am. I found a security guard there and let them know about the loud noises. I'm not sure what the security guard did, but the music stopped. The problem was then the sexual antics started up again. It went on until about 6am when the next thing we heard very clearly was the women got herself locked out and was beating on the door while yelling for whomever was still in the room for about 30 minutes. This was a horrible experience. I don't know what kind of hotel they are running, but it seems like they are letting in the wrong sort of customers.
Another issue was trying to get a hair dryer when I realize there wasn't one in our room. I called the front desk and they said they didn't have them if it wasn't in the room. I went to housekeeper in the hallway and she said the same thing. I looked behind her in the room she was serving and seen a bag that looked like a blow dryer bag, I asked her what it was a she was shocked and didn't know what to say. I asked if I could use it and she reluctantly gave it to me. What a joke, a hotel that doesn't have enough blow dryers and making up excuses.
Absolutely some of the best hotel staff I have ever dealt with. From the housekeepers to the men and women at the front desk to security, all phenomenal. Pool was a perfect temp and clean, and the hot tub was hot and clean. Second hotel room was very clean . (No cockroaches like other hotels in Durham) first room had some mold around the light switch in the bathroom. But other than that I am very pleased. And again I cannot say enough good things about the hotel staff. 💯 amazing staff
The coffee was made fresh and hot.
There was a roach in the corner of the breakfast room. The food was not flavored.
The rooms had more space then normal.
Old hotel.. didnt feel clean. My car was broken in to.i was charged twice cause they said 3rd party didnt pay them but they did
Room was hot and stuffy when we entered and took over 24 hours to cool down. Old hotel and it needs serious maintenance. Cockroach on the floor in the room, no room service (prob because we were located way in the back and no one came), no towel or toilet paper refresh and we ran out of toilet paper. I had to drive to front desk for towels first day and toilet paper the second day. There was some large group there the first two nights and I feel like they were serviced and not us. The third night there was lots of screaming outside our room and police there as well with flashing lights. Room was so dirty like nothing gets wiped down (furniture, doors, walls etc). I hope to never stay at a Millenium Hotel again.
I booked a week in advance and did the pre check in they texted me to do. I get to the hotel and she tells me they do not have a room for me. I could get on a waiting list and it already had 10 people on it. They’d already screwed over 10 at least before me! Then she offered to cancel the reservation for free! This place has some nerve. We had just traveled from Dallas TX now I’m scrambling to find a place to stay.
DO NOT ATTEMPT !!! It will mess up your day!
