The hotel was nice, family type, clean, organized but expect to squeeze between double beds. Apart from that, everything was ok - nice shower, good size of tv screen, AC was functioning well. The breakfast is the average american breakfast, nothing standing out:same old same, eggs, patties, donuts, bagels, juice. The breakfast area is in the front unit, quite a small dining room area but at 8:30 AM, we had no problem finding a spot to seat. Beds were comfy. I like the fact that the towels had a decent size and seemed to be well kept. In the surroundings area there are many options of food and there is a nice brewery almost in front of the hotel. The Hannaford supermarket is a 5 minute ride by car.
Room is way too small for a double bed unit. You have to be prepared that there is no much space there. We spent just a couple of nights there so it was okay for us.
Reasonably priced property. Good location. No pool. Biggest problem we had is they don’t ever answer the phone. They don’t even pick up if you call from the room and there’s no option to leave a message. We had four housekeepers in the hall when we checked in but had no soap or coffee in the room. Hallway carpet was drenched in several areas. Not a property I’d stay at again . You get what you pay for right?
Rooms were cleaned and updated. Staff helpful and friendly
Very strong air freshener scent in common areas.
It had a good ‘vibe’. Neat as a pin , close to Portland. The little pad II outside was perfect with its grill, tables, chairs , and fire pit. I created a very extra special touch. Also the breakfast was fabulous!
Nothing -
However — an extra grab bar in the bathtub might be useful. Anther suggestion off off season marketing would be :: a shuttle bus into Portland !
Price but now we know why.
Breakfast was alright but not exceptional. Staff were not very friendly. Not rude but not welcoming.Room was very small, bed not comfortable and carpet old and stained.
The breakfast was amazing! Fresh food and friendly staff. The room was small but clean.
The hallways had a smell that was overwhelming. It was like incense covering up smoke. The room we stayed in didn't have that smell.
Modern renovated property . Breakfast was also served fresh with hot and cold options .
We loved our booking and as per booking.com rep it was but upon arrival it wasn’t .
The staff accommodated us right there and then …
Standard free breakfast
Cool shower, not even a little bit warm. That sucked.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean rooms, convenient location, and decent price. Wasn’t the first time we stayed and we will stay again.
Mattress filthy, towels awful, tv minimal channels, hole in wall by toilet paper, too many air fresheners, 2 at front desk, hallway overpowering
This property was very clean and the staff was super friendly.
Very clean
Nothing
Location was perfect for Bailey’s Island and Portland
No pool
Our stay was very disappointing. The room appeared outdated and poorly maintained, with holes in the walls, sheets that looked unclean, and a strong unpleasant odor. Unfortunately, the hallway smelled even worse.
We were also frustrated by the check-in process. Although the advertised check-in time was 3:00 p.m., we were informed upon arrival that our room would not be available until 6:00 p.m.
In addition, the television did not work, and the exterior of the property looked neglected, as though the landscaping had not been maintained in years.
Overall, the condition of the hotel did not meet our expectations, and based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here.
