Good base for starting the Hadrians Wall Walk. Very friendly and helpful host.
Pros:

The host was very friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel because it is close to the start of Hadrians Wall Walk. There are restaurants and a big supermarket nearby.

Great place with quirky features, super host and excellent value.
Pros:

Great host - he really made us feel welcome. Sparkling Geordie repartee! The decor and vibe is very quirky. Fabulous cooked breakfast included. Surprisingly quite location. Would stay again.

Cons:

Room was a little small but it was fine for only one night. We were offered a bigger room but with less powerful shower.

Fantastic!
Pros:

Stan the owner of this place was the most welcoming host I’ve ever come across he allowed us to leave our bags in our room before check in whilst we attended a festival, the rooms lovely and clean , bed was so comfortable , perhaps could of done with a fan as it was a quite a small space , but still 10/10 , we’ll be back next year for sure and hopefully wake up in time for breakfast 🤣

Fijne kamer in de buurt van het centrum.

such a lovely BnB in a fab spot close to everything u need....the rooms are cosy and comfortable, mostly clean altho a little bit of dust around beds.breakfast was beautiful, staff were so friendly and extremely helpful

Pros:

De hoteleigenaar Stan is bijzonder sympathiek en behulpzaam. Hij maakt een heerlijk Full English Breakfast voor je. Het hotel is schoon en mooi ingericht met bijzondere objecten. We hadden een enorme kamer voor een hele schappelijke prijs. Great value for money! De ligging is rustig en gunstig voor uitstapjes naar Newcastle of Tynemouth, en ook vlak bij de ferry naar IJmuiden. Echt een aanrader.

Reasonably priced and very comfortable
Pros:

The location was great very close to the end of Hadrians wall path. Breakfast was great cooked by Stan the owner who was very friendly and welcoming. It felt like being at home than staying in a hotel.

Fantastic place! As someone who travels for work I cannot recommend more highly.
Pros:

The Dorset Arms is a gem of a place. Stan is a proper host who understands hospitality. My room was perfect, clean, spacious - everything in this guesthouse including the beautiful flowers are cared for and run by genuinely friendly people who want you to be comfortable. It's rare that you find places like this. For the money, I can't recommend highly enough.

Everything was excellent.
