The best customer service came from the gentleman who welcomed us for breakfast at The Chapman.
Greeting on arrival was average and on departure the same. No effort to build rapport or offer a point of difference. No use of te reo Māori "Kia ora" goes a long way in a town where people come to experience Māori culture.
The bathroom is tired and need a deep clean. There is pink and black mold between the tiles and around the tap. The shower head sprays in all directions indicating a blockage, and when the sink tap is turned on it sprays out forcefully either wetting your front or going all over the floor.
Neighbors were loud and carried on until after midnight.
E bike hire across the street, vicinity to forest/mtb trails.

Comfy beds. Bath and robes. Thermal pool.
Although clearly signed asking for children to be respectful with noise around rooms we constantly had children running up and down the passageway yelling and banging on their room door to get let in.

Pool and location
A little tired
The game room is great! My son and I really enjoyed the soccer game under the table and on the table, and the billiards. The heated pool and spa also is another highlight for each day.
It would be great for the kitchen to have stove and microwave.

The fridge was dirty and down the side of the fridge was very dirty and could easily be seen: I advised reception who said they would have it cleaned and on my return that evening it had NOT been cleaned. They did fix the toilet seat however which I advised them was lose. There was also no extractor fan in the bathroom. The room didn’t smell clean.
