Sheraton Ann Arbor is understaffed and dirty.
Pros:

The front desk person was extremely helpful

Cons:

One of the elevators was broken for 4 of the 9 nights we were there (on the busiest week of the year when students return to UMich) and the front desk had only one person to do everything, particularly at night when we had to change from feather pillows to hypoallergenic ones. The overall look of the hotel is tired and dirty.

Nice place, disappointed that we were unable to access our confirmed reservations on time.

Cons:

VERY disappointed at check in! There was a line of about 6 guests trying to check in when we arrived so we had to wait, there was only 1 person working check in! We were then told that a LARGE party from previous night had just checked out, at 3:40 PM! Check in time is 4:00 PM! The gentleman at the counter told us it would be at least 2 hours before our room would be ready!!!! We were going to a concert at Ford Field and wanted to clean up before we left for downtown Detroit, unfortunately that wasn’t going to happen. When we returned from the concert after midnight, there was still a line of people trying to check in with one person to help guests. There is NO excuse for allowing LARGE parties of people to check out late! No compensation or reimbursement were offered for our inability to access our room at check in time!

First stay, internet wasn’t working, and couldn’t fix it; second stay on a different floor it was.
Fan was direct, so very uncomfortable.

Pros:

Location was good with available car parking and easy access to the rooms. Room size was good.

Cons:

Very thin walls in the room making it very noisy, you can hear all the noise in the corridor leading to the rooms and also water flushing in the adjacent room. Also they provide paper cups in the rooms for coffee which I fond not appropriate for a 4 star hotel.
