Wonderful location in the heart of Thamel • Lovely authentic Nepali decor, local organic vibe, and upscale feel • Delicious restaurant and fresh regional dining options • Wonderful ethnic live Nepali music and dancing performances in the evening • But above all else the warm and generous hospitality of each and every one of the staff… they took care of EVERYTHING… I am from the US and was needing a bit of support getting acclimated, getting around, navigating the rain, and exchanging money, etc. and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that I didn’t feel out of sorts. They also allowed me an extraordinarily late check out just to accommodate my very late flight on my last night in Kathmandu. Everyone at Thamel House goes out of their way to be hospitable and make you feel safe and at home when you’re very far from home! I very highly recommend booking time with Thamel House : )
Very hot water was not always reliable.

Spacious, classic and heritage looks, clean and the balcony adds the touch.
Location is on busy area but once you are in the room it is peaceful stay. Staffs are really friendly and i was particularly helped and guided by one of the staff whose name was Mr Raju karki. Really lovely and happy personality.
I like everything in this hotel: tasty smell, clean bedroom, very tasty food, hospitable staff, especially administrator Nadeep is the best, super, very kind, helpful, caring and responsible. He helped with every question and decided very fast. Also good laundry, our clothes after trekking are clean 😍 Thank you very much for you hospitality 🙏🏽🫂🫂❤️❤️❤️

Calm oasis in the middle of a busy busy world
We had a great stay here, clean and comfortable rooms in a central location. The staff were all lovely and super helpful, especially Raju. They even accommodated a late check out for us as we weren’t flying out until late. Thanks!

Beautiful property. Great attached restaurant that we ate at both nights with evening dance. Very large, nice room. Friendly staff. View towards the main street that is full of shops. Used tour guide to get around the city. Had to go breakfast one morning and good breakfast inhouse the other morning.
Lost water on last morning. Thank goodness we took our showers the night before.
