Pros:

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. Within easy walking distance of the village, which has shops, cafes and pubs. We walked up Helm Crag and the views are stunning.

Cons:

Nothing.

Pros:

The location of the hotel and where it is situated. The helpful staff that always went above and beyond.

Cons:

I was charged twice for a drink at the bar as I signed for it and paid for it there and then and then saw it on my final bill, paying for it twice. I was also asked to sign for meals which is normal and fine but I was never offered a copy of what I signed for. So when it came to the final bill it was difficult to marry my expenditure with the bill off the top of my head. Having a copy of all my reciepts/what I signed for would have helped.

The room was small but the bathroom large which slightly made up for it but still I found the room small. I decided bot to pay for a view but that doesn't mean a smaller room too. The bed had a quilt that was too hot for the weather and no option to have something lighter. There was also nowhere to sit and watch the tvnother than on the bed which was uncomfortable to do unless lying down.

The food quality was excellent but the choice I found limited. For a 4 star hotel I expect more on the menu than burger and chips, and fish and chips. Even keeping to an English cuisine, more imagination is required.

It has a spa which all looked good until I saw the sauna which had a distasteful smell to it, putting me off trying the other facilities which I'm sure would have been good as it looked so.

An enjoyable stay
Pros:

Lovely clean modern bedroom and very comfortable enormous bed. Special mention to Eduardo and staff in the restaurant.....first class service! Nothing was too much trouble. A warm welcome from the lady at reception. All staff, without exception, friendly and smiley. Our 2nd visit since covid it just gets better. A box of special chocolates and card recognising our wedding anniversary, thank you x

I would definitely recommend this stay and will come back.
Pros:

Its location is mind-blowing and staff behaviours are also great. Food was lovely as well. It is accessible by public transport as well. We took taxi from Windermere train station.

It was our Wedding Anniverssry treat and did not disappoint really enjoyed our stay
Pros:

The Hotel and room location were both excellent
Fantastic view from the room ( lakes and mountains
The room and bathroom were large and clean
The food was good ( both breakfast and dinner ) and of good quality
All the staff were polite and attentive

Cons:

The dining room was a little tired ( tables need varnishing etc ) the lounge had uncomfortable and shabby furniture and did not make the best of the views
The chairs in the room were straight backed dining type chairs We would have preferred something more comfortable to sit and read etc whilst taking in the superb views
Didn’t tink we had exceeded the £80 dinner allowance However Our bill was £50 so we had to question it as The only extra was 2 medium glasses of wine (Sauvignon blanch and Rose pinot Grigio )
After checking , the receptionist agreed to the error but bill was still £25!! Seemed a little excessive but we were too embarrassed to question it further

An excellent stay
Pros:

From the moment we entered this hotel everything worked. Staff were incredibly efficient, Eduardo and his team in the restaurant need special mention. He was tremendous remembering even the smallest detail. How lucky this hotel is to have someone if his quality.
Reception was excellent, big tall bloke from Australia, brilliant.
Everyone in this hotel says hello, good morning. Rooms excellent. Will we go back. Absolutely.

Dream like specially for couple, who intends to bond and reconnect with each other.
Pros:

The location of this specific hotel is very naturistic and amazing. A typical honeymoon vibe.

Cons:

The breakfast menus is very British, thus heavily revolves around the basics. Need more depth.

Stunning View
Pros:

Lovely hotel in beautiful location but not quite the same standards as in previous visits. Breakfast was good. Rooms clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. Staff were lovely but there isn’t enough of them. Lounge area lacked atmosphere.

Scenic location, good hotel but overpriced
Pros:

The location was wonderful and very scenic. So beautiful. The hotel and outdoor space were fantastic. Very relaxing.

Cons:

I was disappointed with the suite room I had booked for my mum and dad. It was very basic, just a tv and seating area. It's not very luxurious, considering it cost me a few hundred pounds extra to have the suite.
Limited choice on the dinner menu. Especially if you are staying there for more than a couple of days. The food was nice but needed more choice.
The bar on the first floor closed really early, and although there is a lovely sitting area to have drinks , there was little atmosphere. There was another bar downstairs but wasn't cosy.
The pool in the spa could have been a little deeper as my foot kept hitting the floor of the pool.

Sadly a major disappointment.
Pros:

Standards have significantly dropped. Food exceptionally overpriced, disappointing quality and dont even do toast served any more, just queue and do it yourself. Check the opening door windows work only as windows, as otherwise it's a plummet down 2 floors.
Bathroom shower full of mould around seals. Room and corridor carpets very badly stained.
Spa needs proper cleaning in the changing areas and showers.

Amazing staff and location, needs injection of cash to improve beds/decor and revamp menu.
Pros:

Incredible location! Perfect. Staff were faultless couldn’t do enough for you, attentive friendly in a genuine way. Booked SUP which was excellent. Food was good-old fashioned menu, but greasy and generic-nothing special but fine.

Cons:

It’s tired, carpets worn, beds rock hard. Booked a room for three - two adults and 14 year old. Had a king size bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed was suitable for a 5 year old at best. V poor.
