Our second visit to this hotel - it won’t be our last!
Pros:

Interior clean and very modern. Plenty of parking spaces. Stunning setting on the lakeside, but also in a central position to access most areas of the Lake District. Breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

Only disappointment was the time needed to have dinner on our first night. Service was very slow.

Everything absolutely fantastic! We got ready here for our wedding and everyone was very kind and accommodating. Room was gorgeous and bed was so comfortable. The spa is so nice just remember to turn on the jets with a button on the floor before you go in the water.

We were well served by the hotel staff and facilities so our land-mark celebration is fondly recalle
Pros:

We were upgraded from a room with "no view" when reception staff learned my wife and I were celebrating our Diamond Anniversary. A pleasant treat, thankyou.
Breakfast was fine with wide choices available. it was slightly disappointing to find the evening meal menu lacking in depth and variety. However, the quality of meals and the serving staff scored highly.

Cons:

The reception area seemed less than well lit and welcoming but the staff made up for for this with light, bright chatter.
There was no daily updating of the evening meal menu or notice of "specials."

Fabulous located hotel
Pros:

The location, the setting, all the staff, the breakfast, the pool, the sauna, the steam room, the huge bed, the shower.

Cons:

Sadly, there was blood on one of the pillows that we were provided with however, staff were very swift to replace this. This was the only thing wrong. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and can't wait till we do.

Disappointing our first stay was 2012 and many stays in 14 years unfortnately seems to have most of the same beds, sofas
Pros:

Staff are fantastic could not do enough for you very good locations Food is still very good in restaurant
Bathroom very clean and tidy
We have been many times before since its opening and this is our most disappointing stay

Cons:

The bed was extremely uncomfortable not sure how old the mattress is in room 231 but it is passed its best and spoilt our stay with the lack of sleep not a restful weekend at all
The carpets are becoming very tatty and stained in various places same with the wall decor a program of up keeping required in the very near future I assume the windows must be crafty in winter as a lot of them have masking tape around them

ALL the sofas wether in the rooms, the bars etc are well worn

Breakfast is ok sometimes disappointing on the buffet but ask when fresh will be coming out and the staff will sort for you ie soft eggs etc
