Beautiful hotel , great staff and relaxing break away to chill out
Pros:

Fabulous location for Grasmere village. Only 5/10 minute walk away. views from hotel of the area beautiful.
Place spotless, bed huge and plenty of hanging space and draws for things.
Spa lovely , half the time only us in it. Spa girls lovely, swopped our robes for bigger ones as ones in room been put on boil wash she said all shrunk and to small and laughed about this. Ask for new ones.
Hotel staff really friendly and had good chats with you , found time to make you feel important
Shower head looked bit small but my god had some power to it, plenty of hot water.

Cons:

Breakfast choices good but fried eggs like rubber, If you want soft eggs order poached fresh.
Had to ask for Flora for my toast as no plant based margarine on display only Butter. They did have it but not out.
Prices of meals little bit expensive , but our meal at hotel really lovely, The next few days we ate at local pubs in village only because of prices not quality and service.

Why not sooner?
Pros:

Location is perfect for a if you’re looking to venture out into the surrounding areas, plus the spa facilities are lovely as well as being right beside the lake. Air conditioned rooms with this weeks 30+ degree weather was much appreciated too!

Cons:

Optional extras at breakfast which I had were not the best, however the hotel waived the charges once I spoke to them about it. A small nitpick.
The toilet roll holder was also broken in the room when I arrived, another small nitpick but worth mentioning if you are paying 275+ a night.
