Nothing.
My room was in the roof space, with no direct access via lift but by a narrow, steep staircase. The room was baking hot, the air conditioning was broken, and the small pedestal fan rattled against its casing all night. I also parked my car in the car park. When I checked in I was asked for my registration plate, but there was no mention of any associated charges. As a guest, I would have assumed this was complimentary given it’s not central London or near an airport. But no, £12.50 for just over 12 hours of parking. Shocking not to have been told beforehand, and outrageously expensive for a provincial city hotel.
Location, airy room with windows, parking and staff.
Not enough car parking places. They should be allocated for visitors staying and not people wanting to pop into town.
Nice and central close to shops and local transport . Friendly staff
I booked an accessible room for my Nan who can’t walk far and really struggles with stairs. I attached a message letting them know, however when we arrived the lift was broken the engineers had been out 3 days prior, however we only received the email on day of arrival which didn’t give us time to find alternative accommodation. They moved us to the first floor, however this is still two flights of stairs (25 steps). My Nan pushed herself up/down these stairs but could only manage it once a day which spoiled the holiday and then she struggled to get into bed as her legs were strained. My car was booked into the car park for stay however nearly two weeks later I received 3 parking tickets which they cancelled after a couple of phone calls.
Staff were amazing. Rooms clean and tidy. Location perfect
We were in a room above where deliveries were done, which would have been ok if we had been warned about the noise at around 5am every morning. Windows did not close so it was loud.
In di gle room, the door tp the bathroom would be better opening outwards as otherwise quite awkward to get around it to get to the sink
Location was great, bedroom was good size and well laid out.staff were very friendly and very helpful and professional
Although lovely hotel some areas were very dated and worn. Stairs carpets very worn, woodwork in bedroom shows lots of ware and bathroom door had damage/wear to top and bottom .just spoilt appearance .plus room was very hot.no aircon so had to run electric fan to try to cool down
