Room was clean and spacious. There was adequate parking when we arrived. The reception staff were extremely helpful.
The hotel is in an excellent location just a short walk from the centre of town and shopping/restaurants, and also being across the street from the local train station. The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful, especially Nathan on reception who went above and beyond to assist us. We had an iron and ironing board, a proper hairdryer and a stand alone fan in the room as well as tea making facilities. The room and bathroom was very clean.
For a hotel of this size, the breakfast was disappointing. They had only filter or instant coffee and no cappucino or latte machine available. There was bread and a toaster but only jam, marmalade, honey or Marmite to put on it - no cold meats, cheeses, tomato etc. We felt that it was expensive at £14, given the lack of options.

This was a return visit. I was here last week. The hotel is excellent, and I was given a superior room for the night - with views over the city. Staff helpful bringing my bags up and down. I would highly recommend this hotel
The lift has still not been fixed, and is a serious blot on an otherwise excellent hotel

Would have liked biscuits, maybe small fridge with the the water and drinks provided , much needed in a heatwave ! Drinks and water warm so not nice.
Always need a biscuit! Had to move kettle to find a plug for it. Fridge would have felt bit more special, luxurious plus mini bar option . Also parking issue personally, but resolved by helpful staff , otherwise a problem.

First off after checking in we were told the lift was not working, as our room was on the first floor I told the receptionist that I would have difficulty climbing the stairs, there was no acknowledgment that this would cause any inconvenience, the lift remained out of action for our entire stay and consequently my movement around the Hotel was on a strictly necessary basis. The room was as advertised , the bed was adequate,,there was no air conditioning and the windows were sealed . A fan was provided and the circulation of the air gave some comfort. The room was not serviced for the second night , it would have had the tea / coffee replenished at least.
