Poor service from front of house staff.
Pros:

Generally the hotels facilities, food and comfort was good.

Cons:

I was annoyed by the way the front desk staff wanted to charge additional deposits because we booked through a third party booking agent ie booking.com and requested a £300 deposit if we wanted to start up a tab for the bar! They also mentioned to book directly with the hotel in the future and they would match any online prices.
We were told the £100 deposit given at check in could be used for room service which wasn’t the case.
Just made to fell like somewhat like second class because of this.
All other aspects of the hotel where fine

Great Hotel and facilities, little things to tweak
Pros:

Room was great, very comfortable and air con was a god send in the heat

Cons:

Lack of all TV channels as described as Sky TV on posting, requested breakfast to be delivered to the room exactly as requested but not picked up by staff and no breakfast to room.

Pros:

Beautiful setting. Rooms very spacious and luxurious. Wilfred’s restaurant was lovely. The hotel has so much to offer!!! Highly recommend

Very relaxing and would love to return
Pros:

Peace and quiet. Very safe and secure. Excellent food. Excellent grounds, comfy beds, exquisite decor. Breakfast top notch. Very plush.

Cons:

A bottle of complimentary water on bedside had been opened and was only half full.
Spa wasn’t opened due to refurb and whilst was telephoned about this post booking, ahead of going, I wasn’t offered a discount or a free future stay.
