Does the necessary at a reasonable price
Pros:

Clean, updated room. Can be a bit noisy if your room is at the front of the hotel. Also a lot of light from hotel outside lights and street lights. Good location for us.

Cons:

Breakfast pretty bland, low quality like all these budget hotels. I don't eat it.

Cons:

Double-charged for the stay and still waiting for a refund

I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately had a very frustrating experience with their billing. During my check-in/stay, the hotel double-charged my credit card for the accommodation (an extra $342.82).

Booking.com customer support has already officially confirmed that this was an error and a temporary hold that needs to be released. However, it has been several days since my checkout, and the money has still not been returned to my account.

The stay itself was fine, but this major accounting error and the delay in returning a significant amount of money ruined the overall impression. If you stay here, please watch your bank statements closely. I hope the management resolves this issue and processes my refund as soon as possible.

If you are looking for a budget accommodation, for Barrie, for a short stay, it's OK.
Pros:

The staff is very pleasant, polite, and helpful. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but had the essentials: eggs and sausages, the sausages were actually quite good, whole wheat bread, etc. The cereals were Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes. Some Bran Flakes or Raisin Bran would not hurt. No non-dairy milk. I brought my own almond milk. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

Cons:

We had to change rooms 3 times. The first had a communicating door, which we did not want. We asked for a transfer to a room without a communicating door, and we got one again. We moved on to a room with no communicating door, but with holes in the curtain. I finally spotted a room with an open door across the hall that had no communicating door and no holes in the curtain. However, a sewer smell came up the bathroom sink. After 2 nights, we were happy to leave. For $200.00/night, we were expecting more.

Fine for a quick stop to get you on the road early.
Pros:

Cleanish and right off the highway. It was fine for one night quick stop over.

Cons:

Lock on inside door was broken, they put us on a floor with a soccer team. Teams should always be put together on their own floor. They have often leave their doors open and talk loud. The alarm was left on for a 6:30 wake up. Staff should ensure alarms are not set on clocks.
