Hotel location good
Parts of the hotel in need of redecorating especially in breakfast area. Gardens also in need of some tidying up. Not keen on the accessibility from the annex to main building especially in the rain.

Our room over looked a poor back roof top, the room was very cold. No heating and very basic .
I / We couldn't have a bath or a shower as all we had was 1 bathmat & 1 hand towel.For two of us !
I was not pleased.
The bed didn't seem to be made properly and my partner was on the mattress.
The hotel inside ,rooms,landing,restaurant was cold. No heaters or radiators on..
Plates in the restaurant re breakfast cold,food went cold quickly. When we left today there was huge blasts of hot air warmth in the step into before you open the door to the reception, the most warmth I had felt all weekend.
It was my only child's sons wedding, I was disappointed..

The grounds were lovely. The hotel was quaint. The staff were very nice.
The room was somewhat small. Limited lighting at night. Furniture was dark and added to the dimmness of the room.
Lovely well kept gardens, comfy bed, beautiful inside out historical building. We'll definitely be back!
The liquid soap for the shower was very little at the bottom of the bottle. On the table, there was a tray with two glasses & empty jug; where is the water?
At the breakfast table, there was no napkin & when I asked for one I was given one from another table which was wet & not clean & this is a source of infection.
The price is more than double of what we paid the last time.
The region is nice, with easy access to the function we were attending & the staff are friendly.
