A good place to stay with friendly staff in a lovely setting
Pros:

The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The setting with the reservoir at the back of the property where you can go for a walk is very pleasant.

Cons:

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the past 15 years. The rooms though still comfortable would be improved with a little updating and it is a shame that the swimming pool and spa are now closed. Though the gym is now open again.

Needs to be refurbished no sockets next to the bed, old tv’s you can keep a classic look but a little modernisation wouldn’t hurt.

Breakfast buffet a bit mediocre.

The walls are thin you could hear everything.

Great rooms, staff and hotel with a beautiful location
Pros:

Lovely hotel, nice room and very comfortable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Just minor touchups required that shows wear and tear everywhere including the room. Other than that a lovely pleasant stay

Over all very poor lovely building but in disrepair very sad as the reception staff are amazing and bend over backwards

Cons:

Place is falling to bits windows falling out, roof tiles falling off the roof. The dining room in disrepair main stairs wall paper falling off from damp. Room shower pouring water over the edge of the shower floor drain system does not work properly room was grubby paint chipping off the windows. food was not cooked and very poor quality being served instant mash not potatoes, pasta not cooked. Had drinks from the bar awful taste, lines not being cleaned correctly.
