One of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have ever had, and we definitely will not be returning.
We had booked two rooms, but the guests staying in one of them were unexpectedly unable to arrive for the first two days. We did not ask for a cancellation or a refund. We simply asked the hotel to move those two nights two days later — a small gesture of flexibility and understanding.
Their response was essentially a complete refusal. Zero understanding, zero willingness to find a solution, and absolutely no interest in helping their guests. We fully understand what a non-refundable booking means and take responsibility for not noticing this condition when booking through Booking.com. However, a non-refundable policy should not mean that a hotel has to handle every situation with such complete rigidity.
What made this even more frustrating was seeing that the same hotel was offering flexible cancellation options through other platforms.
As if the experience had not already been disappointing enough, one member of our group became extremely unwell after eating breakfast at the hotel, experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning.
For us, the quality of a hotel is not just about the room or the location. It is also about how guests are treated when an unexpected situation arises. Unfortunately, our experience here was the complete opposite of hospitality: rigid, unhelpful, and lacking any genuine willingness to assist.
One star is more than enough based on our experience.
The staff were very lovely and accommodating. The location was perfect. The bed was so comfortable.
During our showers the hot water was terrible. We couldn’t have nice hot showers as it was only a little bit warm which was disappointing.
The food in the restaurant wasn’t nice at all, which was also disappointing.

The bed was very comfortable and great pillows.
Séjour agréable pour notre famille de 4 personnes. Le lit de nos enfants était un canapé lit avec un matelas très mince et peu confortable. Chambre correcte et spacieuse quoi qu'un peu défraichie. Toute le nécessaire y est pour ne manquer de rien. Le petit-déjeuner buffet est correct mais loin d'être extraordinaire, beaucoup de monde et le réassort était assez long.
Sauna sympathique en fin de journée. Un peu à l'écart de l'hyper centre mais cela n'est pas plus mal. Nous avons pu bénéficier d'un bon prix en réservant longtemps à l'avance.
Quartier vers la Tamise assez sûr, mais de l'autre côté il ne faut pas trainer trop tard la nuit. Grand hôtel donc accueil assez froid. Rien de bien méchant toutefois et nous conseillons cet établissement.
