SOL by Meliá Málaga Guadalmar

D,abord un accueil très sympathique, dès notre arrivée SONIA nous a réservé un accueil chaleureux, elle nous a fourni toutes les explications et les informations pour passer un excellent séjour. La chambre spacieuse et très belle vue sur la mer, la baie de Malaga. Le ménage excellent. Le buffet satisfait tous les goûts.La piscine est vraiment grande et propre

Stayed with friends for a weekend in August. We all know the area quite well so we knew this hotel was in a great location to access everything we wanted to plus only a 15 minute walk to Palma Nova. The hotel has been taken over by a Meliá so expected a higher standard and we got this in their renovated reception area, however it stopped there.
Check in was quick and the staff were friendly however there was no water station anywhere which is a first for me in any hotel. We were given our rooms which were pretty clean with comfy beds but very very run down and dates and the bathroom was atrocious.
We didn't use our room much so we didn't complain to reception, I'm not sure it would have done any good anyway.
I've stayed in a lot of Melias hotels and no matter what issues I had I always rated their breakfasts highly, they always seem to be excellent. Except this one.
Now this wasn't just a personal taste issue, it was a walk in, look at the food, smell whatever the rancid smell was (mushy sprouts I believe ) then turn around and walk straight out.
We had booked B&B because it was affiliated by Meliá but oh my word this was THE WORST breakfast buffet I have ever seen or smelt in my entire life
Tinned slimy mushrooms, old discoloured broccoli and worst of all mushy grey SPROUTS!!!!!! I don't know what nationality they were catering for but they need to seriously rethink their breakfast!!!!! The canteen like restaurant was loud, hot, dirty and pretty disgusting. The staff tried their hardest but were met with obnoxious, rude and horrible people so couldn't keep up with the demand.
I would stay here again in a room only basis if I absolutely had to but please, if you want to eat even half decent food......go elsewhere.
Positive note, the drinks at the pool bar were pretty reasonably priced.

La ubicación y la amabilidad del personal. Ambiente tranquilo, desayuno correcto.

Съвършена локация, много спокойно място.
Любезен персонал, висока хигиена и всички удобства за 4* хотел. Кърпи за басейн, фитнес, детска зона , на брега на морето, ресторант, бар ...забавления.
Може да се паркира безплатно на улицата... На 10мин от летището.
Бих посетила отново с удоволствие!

Location

We had a great stay at Sol Guadalmar. Location to the beach was perfect and the hotel was modern and clean. Our room was perfect size, clean bathroom and good size beds.
Reception was always helpful.
We opted in for half board. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, we were spoiled with good choices however no drinks were included in half board during lunch/dinner where other places would usually include 1 drink per person.

Our biggest disappointment was unfortunately the kids club. I took our little one to the kids club but most of the activities were in Spanish, the lady tried to brief us in English but it wasn't very organised so we left. I noticed most of the English speaking children around the pool but not many joined in for the kids disco and kids club.

Overall we had a good stay and we enjoyed the pool and access to the beach.

On a beaucoup apprécié l'amabilité du personnel , sa situation géographique , les équipements, le petit déjeuner , la propreté était top , la chambre était spacieuse

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour au Sol by Meliá Guadalmar !

L’hôtel est vraiment très agréable. Il bénéficie d’un emplacement magnifique face à la mer, avec un accès direct à la plage. La piscine est également très belle et très agréable, et nous avons particulièrement apprécié le fait que les transats soient gratuits, aussi bien à la piscine qu’au bord de la mer. Un vrai petit bonheur pour profiter pleinement des vacances !
Les chambres sont très bien, propres, confortables et surtout spacieuses, ce qui est vraiment appréciable pour un séjour de plusieurs jours. L’ensemble de l’hôtel est très agréable et permet de passer de vraies vacances dans un cadre reposant.
Mais ce que nous retenons surtout, c’est l’accueil exceptionnel de toute l’équipe. Tout le personnel a été adorable, souriant, disponible et aux petits soins avec nous. On ressent une véritable bienveillance au sein de l’hôtel, aussi bien envers les clients qu’entre les membres du personnel.
Nous souhaitons tout particulièrement remercier le directeur de l’hôtel, qui a été absolument formidable. Il s’est montré très présent, accessible et attentif, aussi bien avec les clients qu’avec son équipe. Il a pris le temps de venir à notre rencontre, d’échanger avec nous et surtout de nous donner énormément de conseils sur Málaga : les endroits à visiter, les choses à faire, les bons plans… Ses recommandations nous ont été très précieuses et nous ont permis de profiter encore davantage de notre séjour.

Nous repartons avec de très beaux souvenirs de Málaga, mais également de l’hôtel et de toutes les personnes que nous avons rencontrées. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe pour votre gentillesse, votre disponibilité et votre accueil si chaleureux. Nous sommes vraiment reconnaissantes d’avoir été aussi bien reçues.

Nous recommandons sincèrement cet hôtel et nous y retournerions avec grand plaisir !
