Very convenient to Gare de Lyon.
Hotel itself is clean and staff are helpful.
Room was small, but ok for one night.
The are around Gare de Lyon is dirty and overcrowded.
If you’re using this hotel as a base there aren’t many nice places to eat or visit in easy walking distance. Basically only stop here if you’re getting the train/metro somewhere else!
The bed was very comfy and the room was clean
The hotel staff walked in on my husband and me multiple times without knocking. I’ve traveled to many countries and stayed in countless hotels, and I have never experienced anything like this.
On several occasions, different staff members simply said, “Room service,” and opened the door without waiting for a response or receiving permission to enter. We hadn’t even ordered room service.
This was a major invasion of our privacy and, by far, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Entering a guest’s room without knocking and waiting for permission is completely unacceptable.
