Contemporary guestrooms at Chesterfield Hotel & Suites come equipped with a flat-screen TV, iPod docking station, and safety deposit box. Ironing facilities are provided.
Children under 11 years stay free of charge when using existing beds, within the maximum room occupancy restrictions. Please note the credit card used for booking must match the name on the reservation and be presented for payment at check-in. The cardholder must be present at check-in with his or her government-issued photo ID. All guests must show a photo ID. Please note that prepaid credit cards and gift cards are not accepted as a method of payment. Daily housekeeping services. The hotel is located in the main, downtown area which I liked. Everything else was not worth it.
The rooms smelled like mildew and were not clean. Also, it’s old and the pictures online are very deceptive. It’s bare, small, and has no balconies. The bar is overpriced with watered down drinks. AND expect them to not release the hold for incidentals until about 2 weeks later. There was a sunken hole in the room that caused my friend to fall and hurt herself.

Electricity went out for a day, no accommodations for the inconvenience. Where I was located it was high traffic so you can hear everyone outside. The walls were extremely thin. You can hear people walking, toilets flushing, people talking in their rooms & luggage rolling. I didn’t get any sleep at all, I had to leave.

The location of this hotel is brilliant - especially for what you pay. They hold your luggage for free in a staff only area so your bag is protected. They loan out towels/beach chairs and brollies for free if you need them for the beach. Staff were friendly and explained everything well. There are a few ammonites that you can use - including the patio and a pool nearby. There is a 7/11 close by for any essentials and a very short walk to the colony hotel to see the Scarface car and plaque. You do pay a €100 deposit incase of damage but I got mine back a few hours after check out.
The cleanliness was ok - the bathroom had a lot of broken tiles and some of the walls around the room could do with a refresh. The mirrored wall in the bathroom wasn’t the best - not ideal to shower and have a mirror right there. The place looked a little dated compared to the restaurant attached which is very modern. The aircon unit was very noisy as well and some of the plug sockets didn’t hold an adapter plug, it kept falling out the socket.
