The location was great and also the food that’s literally about it
When we turned up at the property to our room and there was hair on the sink basin, hair In the bath, marks all over the bedding , also a foul strong smell in the room..
There was also pieces of chocolate on the carpet that had not been hoovered the staff even confirmed the rooms did not look like they had been cleaned and checked over.
Bugs on the bedding
Beautiful location. Superb building. Very comfortable and well appointed room. Personable and helpful staff. Very good breakfast.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff
Very nice property with modern but very fancy decor
There was nothing we didn’t like about the property
We where suprised with an upgraded suite for our wedding night, with some beautiful added touches. It made our stay feel so special.
That we arrived late, and left early! Such a beautiful hotel!
The hotel and room were beautiful, the bed was very comfortable and cosy. The staff were friendly and helpful where they could be. The steak I had for dinner was lovely and the drinks were reasonably priced.
Service was a little slow at times and for such a luxury hotel, I would have expected a hand with my bags when I first arrived. Unfortunately having only one person on reception limited this service and there was a delay when I asked for help at reception another time. I added an additional guest on night 2 due to a last minute change of plans. I paid £30 for this for additional breakfast and linens, however we did not receive any additional linen and did not request/go to breakfast on this day. Breakfast I ate on my first day in the hotel was ok but continental options were very limited. The room was very hot and no fan was given despite high temperatures outside.
2nd time staying at this beautiful hotel and would highly recommend to everyone
Friendly staff, clean room, wifi good, good shower and fan in room.
nothing
Excellent location to break our journey down from Scotland to Leeds. Receptionist staff welcoming and helpful. Room comfortable and clean. Good food and attentive restaurant staff for evening meal and breakfast. Has 1 working AC charge point so we were able to top up the battery of our EV .
Several sets of small numbers of steps between the reception, our room, the restaurant. If you had lots of luggage to transfer between your car and the room or you are not too fit for walking it wouldn't have been handy.
Spacious car park, friendly staff, choice of restaurant or bar for evening meal and large bedroom with all the usual facilities. Good menu and tasty food.
We have experienced 2 accommodation styles at Derwent manor Hotel: The wonderfully designed 'Den' family room suitable for a couple and 2 children up to age 11.
High ceilings, great children's area to climb up into and luxury bathroom. and Lilac cottage a 2 ( twin or double) bed accommodation with sitting , dining , kitchen, garden area with large hot tub. All finished and maintained well in their boutique hotel Style. accommodation is well thought out , designed and fitted out. The stall and manager were all incredibly accommodating. This was a perfect stay for us to pamper ourselves on our coast to Coast cycle trip with our 11 year old son. The food we had as room service from the Prego bar was excellent.
We stayed in the Snug. It was perfect. Decor was exceptional. Super cosy and comfortable.
We ate at Prego. Food was exceptional. Reasonably priced. Id of paid more for what we got. No faults.
Friendly staff.
Beautiful views.
I hate to be that person.
But we came away for one night of peace after a hectic few weeks at home. Above the snug is another room. We heard every conversation from other guests, what sounded like moving furniture all throughout the night. We probably got a total of 2 hours sleep between us.
Also despite the mattress being extremely comfortable the pillows were not. They were very hard.
