Our stay at Gibbston Valley Lodge was exceptional. Our lodge was incredibly comfortable, clean, and perfect for a romantic getaway. We did the full wine and cave tour, which was very impressive and like something I have never seen before. The restaurant delivered delicious food with a detail to every dish.
Lastly, each and every staff member were very kind and welcoming. Thank you to you all- we will definitely be back!
Peaceful location perfect for doing nothing.
Pity some of the facilities were under repair and the only spa was also unavailable upon arrival 1pm Until 4pm. Would have thought the clean/refil would have been done prior to new guests arrival. Free wine tasting was very short and tasting amounts were tiny.
Beautifully presented. Modern facilities loved that you had your own private villa.

Stunning location, everything is clean, quiet and relaxing.
Our rooms aircon had a ticking sound which kept me awake most of the night
Such a gem in the foothills. Pleasant scenery, beautiful vineyard views. Very quiet and peaceful. The villas are so cute and well thought of. The bathroom is AMAZING! Bed was comfortable.

The absolute best place to stay!
Nothing!
The lodges were really big and luxurious, with a seperate living area with a fire leading onto a outside patio. From the patio you have a running brook and views into the vineyards and onto the hills.
Extremely clean, very comfortable beds and huge shower.
Was about 20-25 minutes drive into Queenstown, although there is a restaurant on site if you choose to stay on the property.
There was nothing to report that was negative but be aware you are quite close to the main road(some traffic noise) and the flight path to Queenstown airport.
Loved the comfort of the chalet - great beds, plenty of room, terrific bathroom.
Bit disappointed that there wasn't a welcome basket with perhaps cheese, crackers, wine - an opportunity to welcome guests. Also slightly uncomfortable with the charging of $6 for a packet of crackers, it would have been a nicer touch to provide these. Wine tasting a nice touch but a bit perfunctory with only three of the superb Gibstone Valley wines. Dinner started out a bit rocky with no room in the dining room even though I had booked weeks ahead. Recovered with generous glass of champagne. Entres superb, but both the gnocchi and duck were not up to the same standard. But we did enjoy our stay and would come again.
It’s top end and the effort they make shows. Lovely property. Great location.
