It is convenient to city centre and cheap
Our room looks like recently freshened up but the main areas are old and tired. We had to open our window for heat but there was a lorry sized generator underneath so going all night.even with windows shut could still hear on 5th floor
I could get in because the reception guy refused to let me in with my partner as she didn’t have her id with her.
He said that she need an id but when you book the room there’s no option for the second guest to put her details in and they need to check against the booking which I booked the room not her
The attitude of the reception guy whom refused to identify himself also he didn’t have a badge with his name on it, I’ve asked for a manager to talked to he also said that i can come tomorrow after 2pm.
He was out of order and called my partner a prostitute, I’m expecting a full refund and I will never ever book a hotel with Britannia
I've stayed in this hotel several times over the last 10 years. It's never great but overall it's good value for money for location to city centre.
Power cut but was out of the hotels hands. Many people were placed there by the Home Office.
We had to leave due to a power cut awaiting refund

Right in the city centre.. perfectly placed for sightseeing or shopping.. late check out was no problem. Staff were very helpful. 2 large quiet lounge areas by the reception..the best point is the price. It's safe and good value.
It could do with modernising. But that would push the price up.
