Claims to be a 4 star. But more like a cross between a youth hostel and a hospital. Clearly 30+ years old and has never been touched/ updated. Given the price, they could afford to atleast refresh the rooms a bit.
There was no AC and we were boiling the first two nights. But even if you look beyond that, the rooms lacked basics (not even a coffee machine of any kind) and were really depressing looking.
The icing on the cake was the staff. Rude and arrogant and exceptionally unhelpful.

The property is stuck in 1960’s. The room is fairly new as well as the bathroom but the rest looks very old. Aircon that is loud and cannot be controlled from the room but it is central. It could not cool down the room and it is loud so we slept with an open window. The staff at the reception was unpleasant.

No air conditioning—only a fan that wasn’t enough despite 35°C temperatures. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in the summer.
There were many mosquitoes in the room. I asked reception for an electric mosquito plug-in repellent, but they initially refused and only brought one after I insisted and waited about an hour. They also signed for it under my name without telling me I’d be charged 20 CHF if I didn’t return it. I only found out at check-out. For almost €300 per night, I expected much better service.

The property was exceptional. It was impeccably clean, and the location could not have been better. The views of the mountains and the paragliders soaring overhead were truly breathtaking.
The staff were professional, courteous, and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area that immediately gives a sense of quality and pride. This was especially important to me, as I had arranged a surprise holiday in Switzerland for my wife, and the hotel exceeded both of our expectations.
The atmosphere was peaceful, quiet, and completely non-smoking, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of high-quality food. We also had a wonderful experience at the restaurant on the top floor, which offered fantastic food and stunning views.
One feature I particularly appreciated was the complimentary coffee and water refill station available throughout the day. The rooftop seating area, surrounded by plants and greenery, was another thoughtful touch that created a relaxing environment.
I could go on and on about the positives. Every aspect of our stay was outstanding, and the hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. In my opinion, this hotel deserves a 5-star rating.
Although this was not a significant issue for us, one area the hotel could consider improving is the availability of air conditioning. Our room was equipped with a cooling fan and a balcony, which provided excellent ventilation and kept the room comfortable throughout our stay. As a result, we did not feel the need for air conditioning.
However, many guests make their hotel choices online and often filter their searches to include only air-conditioned rooms. Offering air conditioning in at least some rooms could therefore attract a wider range of customers.
One possible approach would be to install air conditioning first in rooms that do not have balconies. This would provide guests with more options while allowing the hotel to advertise the availability of air-conditioned accommodation. Guests could then choose between a room with a balcony or a room with air conditioning, depending on their preferences.
That said, this is only a suggestion, and it certainly did not detract from our overall experience, which was excellent.
