Central to town. Nice atmosphere. Kept our bikes in a training room.
Evening meal was okay; felt like it had been prepared by bar staff not chefs.
Bikes had been moved without our consent.
Location was perfect for the Cathedral and town centre. The bar was cosy and the prices very reasonable. I was a little early and managed to get an early check in at no additional charge. The staff were friendly and courteous.

A central location with a hotel that doesn't have that tired look.

Barman not allowing optics to fill properly between doubles resulting in short measure.
The biggest disappointment was Breakfast. I purchased breakfast hoping for an easy life in the morning. Lo I turned up and this lovely lady walks up to me and asks, do you like tea or coffee? I was stunned well I'd like to see what options are available first. I said tea and thought maybe hot drinks are served separately. Then she asked do you like toast, well at this point I'm really wandering what's going on here. But still dazed I said yes, then she goes away. I then make my way to what I thought was the buffet and there was met by another lady. I was looking for a plate and when I asked she said oh no you tell us what you want and we will go get it for you. In short there ware no hot servings on the counter for self service. All they had were some miserable cereal and fruit and some stuff like that. I said to the lady I am not used to this system. I am used to getting the food myself. I reurned to the table and my tea was there with toast. I poured out some tea and lo and behold it was light and so diluted I couldn't drink it. Even the tea bag was rationed. I gathered myself out of that restaurant fast. I regretted paying for the 2 breakfasts which turned out to be a joke. If you're staying, then better get your breakfast elsewhere.
