Blackwell Grange Hotel

Staff seemed very friendly and helpful

The hotel is well located, offers good parking facilities and is in a beautiful building with lovely grounds.

Breakfasts were very good

Recently booked on a Friday evening for afternoon tea, hotel were really accommodating and no request was a problem. We asked for plain scones which was all sorted for our arrival. The lady who looked after us was very nice and attentive. The restaurant area has a really nice modern vibe but also quite relaxed. The afternoon tea was lovely, fresh sandwiches, plenty of scones with jam and cream plus an assortment of desserts. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Would recommend and would return!

Booked a Groupon refine/reset spa. Laura was very helpful arranging the time and date and also advised that they can match the Groupon offer.
Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Garden spa is fabulous. Gorgeous shaded hot tubs. Facilities are spotless and well maintained. Pool and jacuzzi and a variety of hot tubs. Plenty of seating and loungers outdoors.
The shoulder, neck and back massage that Kaitlin did was absolutely wonderful and better than any massages I've had.
Lovely tranquility room to relax and unwind.
Enjoyed lunch afterwards in the Havelock restaurant. A very fabulous experience and will certainly be back.

Yet another visit to Blackwell Grange, never a disappointment; I've started to use the hotel. for coffee and meals, but this time to the Spa, I visited with my daughter, initially with a Groupon voucher; however on this occasion I'd rung to check on availability and was told they price match. so I booked direct.
What it lacks in size it makes up for in service; we had a massage, which was exceptional, and used the facilities, they've extended and opened a spa garden, there were loungers, seating, another sauna, another couple of hot tubs, we had a wonderful afternoon and won't hesitate to return or recommend.

On arrival greeted warmly by reception, checked in , pleasant chat with receptionist . Direction given to a stunning executive room , view of car park . Room was beautifully clean and welcoming , however lots of stains on carpet , needs a clean. Two fans in room which were much appreciated. Nice gesture of bottled water replenished daily.bathroom had lovely soap/body moisturizer to hand , with lovely white towels.bed was very large and comfortable. Curtains could do with a blackout behind . Breakfast was standard nothing special, bar staff very friendly , however when I asked to charge items to the room the receptionist hadn’t opened a tab by asking for card information upon check in, bar staff offered to sort it , I just paid for drinks. Went to reception to discuss it , she said she could sort it easy enough , I suggested maybe this should be done on check in. Overall nice stay

We had a great experience by staying in the Blackwell hotel, it’s not the first time , and always with warm welcomed in reception , nice bar and restaurant staff, we love the room in the Carriage house with unique atmosphere and comfortable bed, plenty different choices of tea and coffee. The gym, sauna with jacuzzi is excellent addition for relaxation and full rest and comfort.
Highly recommend to stay !

Attended a family wedding yesterday 8/8/2026. The experience exceeded our expectations. Special mention for Joshua and Samantha who worked tirelessly and professionally. Nothing was too much trouble to them and they carried out their roles with enthusiasm and good humour. Thanks to Blackwell Grange. A wonderful day

Brilliant service by Amanda.

First time going in to get treatment in the spa facilities and was handled with such care and consideration by both spa staff.

Obviously being a typical male I was a bit dubious to start with, but I was welcomed and settled in and any notions I had went away quickly. I can’t sing the praises of Amanda’s calming presence and politeness enough. She made me feel soo relaxed and that’s what money can’t buy.

Will definitely be booking in again!
