Pros:

Rooms were very nice and nice big bathrooms.

Cons:

Breakfast was a little chaotic as it was busy with a coach party and we had to wait a while for coffee to arrive.

Poor room which when I just wanted to chill, I could not due to very loud music
Pros:

The staff were lovely

Cons:

The bathroom in the room was small, no air com and noisy, please avoid if a tribute band are playing as I had 5 hours of loud music and that was with the window shut.
If you want to stay do not stay in a standard room on the ground floor. It’s a hotel for a one night stay not a few. Nights.

A friendly, attractive hotel on the edge of Darlington.
Pros:

Helpful location for attending conference in Darlington. Spa facilities, though we didn't have time to use them. Staff were helpful. Parking on site. Fan provided in bedroom - much appreciated.

Cons:

Room was a bit small and uncomfortable in hot weather. Continental breakfast choices were a bit limited when we arrived at 9 on our 2nd day.

Beautiful hotel with great staff and facilities.
Pros:

The hotel met my expectations, with the staff, the food and the facilities all being fantastic. The airconditioned gym is a nice addition to the stay and the overall experience of my stay just felt relaxing and peaceful.

Cons:

I can't find a fault.

Great experience
Pros:

We visited as part of a spa day with lunch. It was amazing from start to finish, the place has had a full refurbish and they have not cut back on the costs. We had lunch in the restaurant as part of our spa day and the food was really good. I had fish and chips (which has actually been taken off the menu I have to say that is the one disappointment should we return, the original spa food menu was much better) and would go to say was probably up there with one of the best fish I’ve ever ate and believe me I’m fussy!
The manager Danny was very attentive and made sure everything was lovely throughout and could see him also making sure everyone else was having a great time.
We headed over to the spa and whilst the pool area is on the small side (although I wasn’t planning on doing laps of the pool) It was cool and refreshing. This along with the outdoor area which included a lovely garden area, steam room, hot tub, ice buckets and lots of sun loungers. We were lucky to have had 26 degree heat it felt like being on holiday for a day! Our spa treatments were amazing too! Perfect to end a lovely relaxing day!

Great staff members - very helpful
Pros:

Friendly helpful staff - restaurant is nice. Unfortunately there was a hair in one of the fishers and I do think it’s lightly overpriced for what they serve. Reception and hallways of hotel are lovely - rooms are a slight light down, a couple of mouldy spots on our bathroom but understandable for the price we paid for the room. Staff members couldn’t fault them at all !!!! Super helpful and friendly. Thank you so much

Shame the cleaning standard is so low. Otherwise nice location and facilities
Pros:

The hotel is set in a very nice location ,facilities are good

Cons:

Both rooms we've booked were dirty unfortunately . The night was very laud, so could not get a good night sleep. When we have asked the reception if we can have dinner at the restaurant we were told it is fully booked. Next morning during breakfast one of the staff told me the restaurant was half full at dinner .

The best stay!
Pros:

We have never had a bad stay here, and our most recent visit was no different..if not even better! Every staff member we encountered was friendly and went above and beyond. From the reception staff, to the spa manager, the gym man, the treatment ladies…the list goes on. Honestly, I couldn’t find a bad word to say about it. We were extremely grateful to receive a room upgrade (married last week) and this just started the weekend off on a high. We had lovely Sauna and swim and the staff managed to find us a space for a treatment this morning! We have been very well looked after, following a busy run up to the wedding, this is just what we needed! Thank you to all

It was a great day, but the service lets it down.
Pros:

We had a great day, but the service from the staff was the only thing that let it down. When we raised a few issues with reception, we were just told that they would notify management and that was it.

Cons:

My issues is not being addressed

Overall a lovely hotel. We live locally (Northallerton) and we were attending a function and it was easier to stay overn
Pros:

Very nice traditional style hotel with lovely grounds and facilities.

Cons:

Nothing wrong with the property. The food quality for breakfast was very good, however what brought the score down slightly for me was that the hot breakfast was lukewarm rather than being piping hot. The staff were all excellent in all aspects!
