Great location and perfect base for walking around Harrogate and visiting places of interest in the area.
breakfast choice was good but let down by some food being overcooked and not being hot.
Location - within easy walking distance of town centre
Limited drinks in bar, bar servery very dirty, dinner menu disappointing, breakfast reasonable but nothing special. Staff were willing and helpful but not well trained. The hotel as a whole is tired and neglected, needs investment and better standards all round.
Location very central
The grounds were beautiful in the sunshine loved the deck chairs and the tables and chairs.
No air conditioning
Good location. Nice breakfast.
Small TV that was too far from bed and no comfy seat to sit in.
Beautiful historic hotel in a great location. Super breakfast. The bar area is nice and refined.
A little warm in the room but nothing drastic.
Everything about our trip to celebrate my 70th was perfect
Perfect as it is
Offered an upgraded room which was very spacious and comfortable. Lovely bed. Very good breakfast which we had in our room. Lovely view to the front of property but also very quiet. Easy walk into Town.
We asked for an early check in as we had been travelling from early morning but unfortunately this was not available.
It was very clean and comfortable. Great location. Good value for money. Room service excellent. Breakfast great.
Nothing negative to report
Great location, wonderful food and a comfortable night's sleep.
Nothing
Great location
Beautiful building
Loud staff having morning chat directly below our bedroom window at 7ish
No chance of a lay in with that!!!
I liked how beautiful the hotel was from the outside and its garden. It was clean.
Some staff weren’t very friendly, it was a very hot weekend windows didn’t open very much, no air con. Bar staff were always away from the bar so took a long time to be served.
Great location - able to walk to all Harrogate offers. Nice lawn and outside bar/ sitting areas.
Rooms dated. No air conditioning in the property at all (rooms and public areas). Windows don’t open much in the bedrooms . Three very sleepless and hot nights. A plastic fan in the bedroom just moves the hot area around.
Breakfast was of mainly cheap products - a bit of a spruce up of the offerings needed .
The hotel and grounds were lovely, staff very friendly. Ideal location for town. Bed was very comfortable.
We booked a double room, what we got was nothing like the photos, very small with a very small window. The towel rail in the bathroom was constantly hot,no way of turning it off. As we were only stopping ovrrnight, no air con, although there was a small fan in the room. we didn't ask about moving rooms . Mentioned it when checking but receptionist, who was nice, said they were fully booked anyway. . Breakfast had plenty of choice, although lukewarm. The bacon was very hard to cut.
Helpful and friendly staff, nice hotel and excellent location
I can't think of anything
