A gem of a hotel, brilliantly located.
Pros:

A lovely property. Much better than expected! We had a twin room, which turned out to be two double beds. Extremely comfortable with high end bed linen. Breakfast was amazing.

Cons:

Nothing! Room was on 2nd floor and quite warm, but a large fan was provided.

Great service, locationn and value for money
Pros:

The room was well presented and clean. I went for a suite, which was spacious. The staff were excellent and helpful. The food was delicious (the gravey on the Welsh Lamb was exceptional). I extended my stay an additional night to witness the solar eclipse, and the staff was thankfully able to accommodate this.

Cons:

My only mark down as that the plug hole on the bath did not fully open. It did drain away, but very slowly and meant that some of my ever escaping hairs were left in the bath tub.

Convenient position but spoiled by no air circulation at night.
Pros:

Convenient for our stay, staff pleasant and friendly.

Cons:

Lack of air conditioning on a night that was 28deg and due to the room being in the roof space there was only a very small window and a skylight window in the bathroom, which left us with a troubled sleep due to the heat and my asthma symptoms were hard to control
The view of the street was good.

The bonus was a good nights sleep which is good for anyone

Pros:

Staff were great, and the food was great. The room was spacious and had good facilities.

Cons:

I arrived early to set up the room for my partners birthday. There was a big dead spider on the table in the bedroom and red lipstick blobs all over the floor that clearly hadn't been cleaned up from the previous stay. The bed had been changed, but the room looked like it hadnt been cleaned.

Cons:

Too warm and noisy from the street which can’t be helped.
We did leave our stainless steel thermal water bottle behind by mistake and have phoned to see if we could collect it but apparently nobody has seen it.

Perfect Central location
Pros:

Lovely stay, nice room, great staff.
Pros:

I loved that it was very quirky, the staff were lovely, it was a great location to town and with parking so all very good! Rooms were clean and comfy bed.

Cons:

The only thing I didnt like was we were on the top floor and it was very hot, fans were supplied which we was grateful but the birds in the morning were crashing into the sky light so we had to close the window as I thought that one was going to swoop in! Maybe aircon would be a good shout!

Great balance of 'ancient and modern'
Pros:

Brilliant balance between old and new, ancient and modern. Lovely modern toilet and shower facilities, large-screen TV, security card lock on the room door. Ancient/antique looking furniture, still strong: wardrobe, chair/table, building facade, restaurant setting/ambience. Courteous, polite, well-presented staff.

Cons:

Absolutely nothing to complain about. The 'old'-looking bits were well maintained. They all fit quite well along with the more modern bits.
