Utterly amazing!
Pros:

Absolutely perfect hotel. The location was amazing. 5 minute walk into the centre and only a 3 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. The staff was amazing the rooms are beautiful so so clean, the rooms were even more beautiful than pictures. The staff were so friendly, we was saying it was our honey moon trip & first child free night in 5 years and they gave us till 12pm check out free of charge! So so kind. We will definitely be coming back, thank you!

Lovely hotel let down by external noise
Pros:

the hotel had obviously been recently renovated to a good standard so no complaints about the decor

Cons:

The constant external noise during the night...
First drunken revellers on the street kept me awake...
They were followed by glass bottles being emptied into lorries...

They were followed by what sounded like a road sweeper...

These weren't intermittent but went on for hours between midnight and 6 am...

The windows are single glazed so there is no escape...
I got almost no sleep... one of the most disturbed nights ever in a hotel...

Disapointing Suite 230....
Pros:

I have stoped at this hotel many times and enjoyed it, typically stopping in Suite 114 which is spacious with bath in the main room etc

Cons:

On this occassion, I was put in Suite 230 which is meant to be to the same standard....IT IS NOT

No bath, VERY NOISEY as Bus Stop outside window etc etc

Dear The Met, get rid of Suite 230 and have more Suite 114

Totally spoilt this visit....very disapointed.

Very nice hotel.
Pros:

Lovely place. Decor excellent. Breakfast brilliant. Staff were welcoming.

Cons:

The hotel gym was closed indefinitely. Need to get that sorted Asap as not all visitors want to run on city roads. Some want to just relax doing weights and resistance machines.

Great hotel in a quiet location.
Pros:

The location! Just a very short walk from the train station and close to all the city amenities. The hotel decor is excellent. Breakfast has something for everyone.

Pros:

Atmosphere was lovely, everything was clean and new as recently refurbished. Breakfast was great. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Cons:

We were put in an accessible room. Nice and spacious, everything you could need but nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. Not even a single shelf above the sink, all our toiletry bags had to go on the floor.
