I would highly recommend the Ardilaun
Pros:

Great location.
Excellent access to Galway areas of interest.
You could walk , and we did several times...to the Latin Quarter and Quay areas for shopping and museums and dining.

Best hotel in Galway
Pros:

My favourite hotel. Always stay here in Galway and staff are so good food is good facilities are good and they are very flexible around things like room availability and leaving my bikes upstairs etc. Overall fantastic example to other hotels

Overall very good
Pros:

The restaurant staff were exceptional. So helpful and went the extra mile

Cons:

There were a lot of people on bus tours eating the same time as us which led to huge delays. The staff were excellent but in my opinion not enough of them. They did their best. Could have done with extra tv channels

Nice place in quiet neighborhood.
Pros:

Hot tub, food, staff, shower. High tea was nice and private. Able to accommodate Celiac requirements.

Cons:

Not able to control the temperature in the room. Beds were a little hard for my taste.

Pros:

This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay: the rooms were comfortable and roomy, the staff were so friendly and the gardens were beautiful. We had an excellent stay!

It is slightly out of the way so plan accordingly.

Disappointing experience at Ardilaun
Pros:

The bed and the bathroom were ok.
Staff in the breakfast room was ok.

Cons:

Staff in the bar very unorganised and not too enthusiastic. Took quite some time to get seated despite a reservation. Food in the bar tasteless, breakfast buffet not any better. For a 4 star hotel we expected a lot more! The cost/ value ratio does not fit at all. Highly overpriced for what is offered - quite disappointing!

Nice stay, staff very pleasant
Pros:

The staff, size of the rooms, restaurant area, the gardens

Cons:

Parts of the shower area needed cleaning more thoroughly.
The toilet was behind the door and the doorstop was right where your feet go when sitting on the toilet. Having to walk up a hill after visiting the town centre ok for young people not the elderly.
Noisy hotel at times ( due to a party of ? School teenagers)
