Beautiful old hotel. Rooms were nice and spacious. They had a nice onsite bar and restaurant.
Too far to walk to town centre.
The gardens were very nice and the location to downtown Galway was very good. We appreciated the on-site parking.
As soon as we opened the door we smelled mildew/mold and had to air out the room by opening windows. We knew the hotel and others in the areas were fully booked so did not bother asking for a different room. We later found that the bottom of the cloth shower curtain was deeply stained with mildew and felt that was at least part of the problem. There was also mold in the shower. If a hotel is going to charge the per night rate that the Ardilaun does, the room should be immaculate. Fabric shower curtains breed mildew and mold and it was surprising to find one at this hotel. Also, when we arrived with heavy baggage and departed no assistance was offered to us.
The property was so beautiful, and the restaurant options were great. Our room was comfortable and it was easy access to downtown.
The pool area was a little crowded with an older crowd so we didn't stay long.
Friendly , helpful staff. Cosy traditional feel. Lovely garden. Big bathroom.
Bed slightly too hard. Knocking on door last morning when we had ‘ Do not disturb’ on the door and it was only 11.40am. with checkout being at 12. 00.

Staff was wonderful….food was good….nice that hotel has laundry service, though thought cost was a bit high. Location is good, but somewhat difficult getting in and out of driveway

Staff at breakfast was so unhelpful, food was not nice. There was no water bottles in the room
Beautiful, tranquil gardens, comfortable bed, lovely meals, close to bus stop to get into city centre, lovely staff.
My only complaint is that i left my treasured cap at breakfast and was never to be seen again 😅

La struttura accogliente, forse un pò da rimodernare per il resto comodo e organizzato
L’hotel è troppo grande e ogni volta per andare in stanza bisognava fare chilometri, nel parcheggio hanno un vero problema con gli uccelli, se parcheggi sotto le piante devi andare a lavare la macchina ogni mattina, la colazione andrebbe migliorata poca varietà di cibo e sempre le stesse cose
