Increased awareness to detail would make a lot of difference
Pros:

The size of our Room, very helpful housekeeper who went above and beyond to make our stay more pleasurable.. very comfortable bed, good size TV and our room was always clean

Cons:

Small sink in bathroom, lack of continuity at breakfast, attitude of some members of staff, general atmosphere, a 🙂goes a long way to improve individual perceptions. Local hiring within the bar should not affect residents. There is a dining area which could be used for breakfast and that would be better than their current arrangements.

Exceptional customer service but the Inn is outdated
Pros:

The customer service from Lily, Justin, Sonia and Sammy was exceptional. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable welcomed and anything I needed they provided.

Cons:

The Inn is very outdated. My room definitely needed a lick of paint and the cleaning could have been more thorough as there was cobwebs and in general the cleaning is very basic in there. The bed is very narrow. The blanket is also extremely narrow. The Inn is very good for short stays however.

Let down by the below average and over priced evening meal and no breakfast.
Pros:

Breakfast was not served until 0800 so I had to miss this as my work starts at 0800 and there was no cereal available and they were not flexible on this only cooked was available.
The evening meal was below average for what was a humble over priced burger and chips.
I just felt let down. this is the first time I have had to put a poor rating on booking,com.

Cons:

No flexibility and breakfast starts too late on a working day. Most hotels start breakfast a 0700.

Ok for what we needed but l don’t think we will use again
Pros:

Location was well sited for the town and railway station, also for the A1 road link

Cons:

The biggest problem was the bathroom,it was literally a cupboard, you couldn’t open the shower door without hitting the sink , if you sat on the toilet your knees were under the sink and you rested your arms on the sink ,also there was no way of holding the door shut . The other problem was the kitchen extraction pipe right outside the window that droned all the time the kitchen was open from breakfast to end of the evening meal

Disappointing
Pros:

N/a

Cons:

Was not told where or when breakfast was when I checked in, window in room would not close leading to road noise all night, curtains were not black out, Breakfast only started 08:00 and was cooked only as I went down at 07:45 to see if I could take some cold items with me and was told they only do cooked to order which was no good as I had an appointment and had to leave. Will not return.

My stay was uncomfortable unable to use the bath and had to sleep on top of the duvet because of the state of the mattre

The bathroom was virtually unusable. Carpet was stained. The bed had no mattress protector on. The room was in desperate need of refurbishment particularly the bathroom

5 Star Staff!!

Good room, excellent staff, great location, food fab.
Pros:

I lived in Biggleswade a number of years ago and actually got married in the hotel in 1994. So it was lovely to return and visit old friends and see how the town has grown and flourished. The hotel was wonderful room was very clean and staff excellent, we had breakfast which was fab. I certaiby would stay again.

Some of the staff ignored us
Unacceptable wait on first morning for breakfast (we were told there would be a wait but didn't expect to wait 3 parts of an hour) - order wasn't as we expected although actual food was good
Room wasn't attended to although left sign out toilet seat was loose , kettle didnt fit under tap, blinds didn't close properly( room looked over walk way )
