Amazing room, hotel was smashing, location was excellent. Brilliant views of the famous Clifton bridge.
Not much. They could leave the outside terrace open a bit later in the nice weather months.
Beautiful location
Don’t think the staff were that friendly
Didn’t apologise when we checked out for the false fire alarm that woke us at 4am and didn’t ask if we had a nice stay
Excellent shower
Josh and Conner were amazing they really looked after us and made us feel at home would 100% recommend coming here
Had a beautiful stay here, Josh and Connor at the bar were so lovely and helpful and their drinks were incredible. Will definitely be back !

We stayed at the Avon Gorge for a night in July. We were in the suite and it was incredibly beautiful. Very comfy sofas and bed, great drinks making facilities and a very clean stylish bathroom. The private terrace which is shared with another suite was lovely with incredible views of the suspension bridge and Avon Gorge.
Breakfast was very nice with a large selection of pastries, cereals etc to choose from and a good selection of cooked breakfasts.
There were unfortunately a few small issues while we were there.
First of all we went to the Lounge for some drinks. The bartender couldn’t make 3 of the drinks we asked for as they had run out of ingredients and garnishes. So we had to make do with what he could make, which were nice but not what we had gone there wanting to have.
After this we went to the White Lion pub, which is part of the hotel and they told us it was closed. At 21:15. Which even though it was a Monday evening seemed very early. The terrace was busy with people enjoying the nice evening so it can’t have been due to it being extremely quiet. The website states the pub does not close until 2200 but obviously this evening the staff had changed that.
The last problem was the fire alarm in our room went off 3-4 times about 2250. Luckily we hadn’t quite gone to sleep by then but it was obviously very worrying and we had to get dressed and go outside. We found a note put under our door in the morning explaining it was a malfunction.
I would definitely stay here again but I would find somewhere else to drink in the city before heading back to relax.
The hotel is set in a stunning location with the Clifton Suspension Bridge located right behind it. The staff went above and beyond to help with all our needs. The room was really clean and so beautifully decorated. I had asked for the room to be decorated for our Wedding Anniversary and Stefan arranged for this to be done upon our arrival.
The room we picked was a balcony room and so was chosen specifically so we could see the view of the bridge from it and it was advertised as having the same. However the room we were given was room number 34 on the 1st floor and the plants we so overgrown that they obscured the bridge. If you require the same I would strongly suggest requesting a room on the higher floors.
Great location next to Clifton village and the downs.Quiet area with beautiful scenery.Arrived early but the receptionist was very helpful and let me check in early. All staff were very polite and helpful.Enjoyed a superb Sunday lunch in the restaurant with views over the gorge.Parking wasn’t the easiest but with patience found a spot and the hotel helpfully gave me a parking permit.Very comfortable room ,all in all a very enjoyable stay.
Nothing.
