Hotel needs a brand upgrade and play into the local history.
Pros:

The location and historic value of the building. (Missing from this photo are four massive trash cans, and people waiting for the bus.)

Cons:

Please stop giving these chocolate chip cookies in Italy. It’s culturally American and not Austrian-Hungarian, or Italian. Give a local treat. Hotel needs a brand upgrade away from Doubletree.

Second, bathrooms needs scrubbing of mold; many electric switches in room are dysfunctional. Hotel can use a general upgrade. Photos are from the room we asked to be changed from. Replacement room seems fine but needs upgrade.

Wonderful hotel and staff.. we hope to return soon.
Pros:

Staff are incredible. We arrived at the hotel after news of a family bereavement and the staff were super accommodating to our needs at a difficult time for us.

Comfortable stay, clean hotel, great location.
Pros:

Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Middle of the night, I requested an additional blanket and a clean one was provided quite promptly. Front desk team were very polite and always ready to give useful tips and directions for us who were first time visitiors.

Very disappointing
Pros:

The building dates back to the early 1900s, and some of the halls have retained their stunning original design.

Cons:

I chose Hilton to "play it safe," but it was a huge disappointment.
The bed was completely sagging, and the pillows were rock-hard, extremely high, and of only one type.
At reception, I was told that these were the pillows the hotel provides and there was no alternative.
It is unthinkable for a hotel of this caliber and price point to have sagging mattresses and offer only one type of pillow.
To make matters worse, there wasn't a single decorative cushion in the room, despite the presence of a highly uncomfortable armchair clearly designed for someone 1.9 meters tall.
The overall impression was of a hotel that prioritizes design over guest comfort.
The air conditioning in the fitness center wasn't working.
Our room faced Via Dante Alighieri, which is quite noisy; rooms facing Via Santa Caterina da Siena would likely be quieter.

Bel hôtel centré dans Trieste
Pros:

Le bâtiment est juste magnifique et centré dans Trieste. La chambre était spacieuse et confortable. La machine à café dans la chambre était appréciable. Enfin, l’hôtesse d’accueil était très gentille et serviable.

Cons:

Dans la chambre, la bouteille d’eau offerte était déjà ouverte. Elle n’était pas scellée et était mouillée au niveau du goulot. C’est comme si quelqu’un l’avait rempli une deuxième fois. Nous sommes arrivés tard et n’avons pas mentionné ce détail à l’agent d’accueil lors de notre départ. Toutefois, vu le standing de l’établissement, on s’attend à ce que ce genre de détail n’arrive pas. Enfin, le parking un peu plus loin n’est accessible que si nous avons procédé au check-in avant donc pas évident de se garer le temps de faire l’aller retour à l’hôtel.

We only stayed for one night but we loved the hotel and location.We would definitely stay here again
Pros:

Very friendly staff. The breakfast was great, nice buffet and variety. Excellent location, can walk everywhere. Beautiful historic building that has been restored and now the Hilton. The rooms are superb and are soundproof, high ceilings throughout, great bathrooms, clean, well organized, all in all great facility in the heart of historic Trieste. We are so glad that we stayed here and would highly recommend to all that visit Trieste.

Cons:

I would add another coffee machine the line builds up with many wanting coffee at the same time. Also the food/buffet area is a bit small for the capacity of the hotel, or perhaps there is another room when there are more guests? Best to not place tables for 2 on an angle as it is not easy to get in and out of seating space and because of angle finds oneself seated very close to the person at the next table. Upon arrival there are stairs and no ramp to the entrance of the hotel. Ramp installation would be a plus to help with suitcases, elderly and the handicap.

The stay was truly fantastic, and we can highly recommend the house.
Pros:

The location in Trieste is perfect, and the hotel is truly impressive and the staff are all really friendly.

Cons:

The only thing is, the hotel is really difficult to reach by car.
