This was the worst hotel I think I have ever experienced, beginning with check-in. My husband got there a day before me due to work. His company booked and used corporate credit card, but he used my reward number ( he has done this numerous times at other marriotts in the last few months). The front desk refused to check him in because I was not there with him, despite the reservation made in his name, because of my reward number. He had to argue for about 20 minutes and escalate to a manager who told him the same thing. They finally compromised and said when i arrive the next day, I need to check in with my ID.
From that point on, any request we had was denied. We did not have
access to change the temperature in our room and had to call the front desk anytime it got too hot or too cold (was told the 18th floor rooms were all controlled that way.) I asked to order a fruit tray from the bar to take to my room for my 3 year old granddaughter who travelled with us, and was told I could not order anything to take away from the bar or the restaurant. I could only order room service to the room.
I asked for wash cloths 2 times and they brought bath robes.
I called to change out check out date to leave a day early and then went down that evening to personally ask that my room temperature be adjusted, and just to verify our check out date got changed. The representative said it had not been changed and he would take care of it. He did not. When I went to check out this morning, they still had us there until tomorrow. So much of that stay was very frustrating.
I felt I needed to write this review after changing to another hotel (under the Marriott family of hotels) for our stay tonight. We went to the Sheraton at the CdG airport, and the difference was amazing regarding the way we were treated. We were well taken care of and the staff were very attentive and helpful for all of our needs.
I wish we had left the Marriott Rive Gauche after the first day or two with all the trouble we had. This was my first trip to Paris and my day outings were amazing, but the room and care staff was a terrible disappointment.
On the other hand, I will commend their cleaning staff. Every single person that took care of our room was friendly and engaged with our young granddaughter, and had a happy demeanor.
I am not sure if we were flagged due to the arrival fiasco and just ignored, or if the way we were treated is the norm, but it was just the worst.
My event took place in same hotel. Was very convenient. Breakfast was good
The event I came for was in the same hotel. It served the purpose. Breakfast was good and lots of nice restaurants around.
Literie de grande qualité - Exceptionnel petit déjeuner !
RAS
Öğlen yemeği ve personelin hizmeti şahaneydi.
Yatak bana rahat gelmedi ve yastıklar da çok rahat değildi ama çok önemli bir eksik değil.
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst stays at Marriott I have had in my 30 year customer career as a Life Titanium member.
No heating !!!! (They turned it off 2 weeks before due to heat). It was 15 C in the room and VIP Lounge - people wore jackets to breakfast) Substandard VIP Lounge, stale cold food, no eggs to order !!! Tiny rooms!!
Stay away!!!

I got a room closed to the elevator with a nice view but I asked to change for a more quiet room without view and likely it was possible.
Good hotel, close enough to RER and underground.
It was an hard job to get an invoice due to the payment via Booking. At the checkout I asked the invoice but I got only the one for the additional taxes. When I realized it a couple of hours later, i asked it again when i came back to get my luggage. A young receptionist told me that he cannot give me any invoice but only when I said that I was going to contact Booking, an older receptionist came and was able to provide me an invoice. Note that when i read some issues from previous customers, I contacted the hotel before my arrival, asking the confirmation to have an invoice. A waste of time for me.
The property in general is pleasant. Hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The biggest negative is the lack of air conditioning in the guest rooms. It was July and it was hot. The rooms have air conditioner controls but they are apparently for decoration only. Yes, I understand this is France, not the United States, and standards are different. However, since Marriott is an American brand company, I would have expected working A/C. I was traveling with numerous colleagues who all experienced the same uncomforatble conditions. Hotel staff did offer a fan when I brought this to the attention which helped a little bit. On a positive note, the hotel is nearby many fantastic points of interest, museums, and restaurants. Very few of these are within walking distance so I highly recommend using the Paris Métro which is inexpensive, extensive, and efficient.
Le petit déjeuner
Les oreillers du lit . Machine à café non fiable . Coffre ne marche pas . Chaises dans la chambre non confortables .
Good location and comfortable bed, great breakfast
No air conditioning in the common areas and the one in the room was too old
The rooms are spacious, clean, and have comfortable beds. It's a very business-oriented hotel, good value for money, and not badly located, as it has a train line nearby.
Breakfast was very simple, and I didn't like that they didn't announce when they were going to clear the food from the buffet. However, I must say that Jen, the omelet chef, was very kind; she only prepared them for us on the last day of our stay, and they were delicious.
If you need an ac-cooled room to sleep well, do not stay at this hotel. The staff are wonderful, friendly, accommodating. The hotel is clean and well kept. It's right down the street from two metro stations. The food at the restaurant is good. But if you need air conditioning in your room at night, this is not the hotel for you.
I booked the trip through American Express, travel site everything was disappointment from the moment we step into Otel when I booked it I specially marked. We are celebrating our 25th year anniversary and asking a higher floor upon checking Jimy who’s claiming to be supervisor we mentioned to him that we are celebrating our 25th year anniversary should be the notes. We were expecting at least welcoming leather and congratulating on our special occasion nothing whatsoever and he said that we booked it through third-party, which is American Expresseven though we are gold member with Marriott they said because we booked it through third-party company. They do not see us as a gold member. But they will give us a higher floor before I check out. I contact American Express and share with them. How disappointing it is American Express travel teamreach out to them and person named. Samantha said there was no notes in the reservation then American Express confirm by looking into our reservation and they saw notes in there and they apologize for the inconvenience and try to follow up with them later on they turn around and they said they send the welcoming note and congratulating note for the 25th anniversary, which is total lie because theyoriginally said there was no notes now they are saying that they send special congratulation notes all I was looking for a simple apology, which I never got from them thankfully American Express was so helpful. I appreciate them. They understand how important this was to us but nothing theycan do but still the effort they provide was 10 star, but the Marriott said they were gonna talk to us before we check out manager. Samantha was supposed to get in touch with us which never happened for the last two days of our stay. I was expecting someone to try to meet us or call our room and give us a little bit of apology which never happened. I work in hospitality business all my life and I know how this kind of things handle most of the time simple apology will understand how sincere the place is but they did not. I am just writing this review to warn people who’s trying to spend a special occasion so they don’t get disappointment like us and we were never felt welcome in this property. Bed was feel like nylon. They have some kind of protection over the mattress probably they are more worried about the property than comfortable bad they can provide which obviously was a nightmare at the end they get back to American Express and they said we did send them a welcoming letter with congratulating the celebration on 25th year anniversary so first they said there was no notes and then follow up. They are saying they sent welcoming letter, which is totally lie. Please do not select this property. There is no concierge there is no welcoming people. Doorman doesn’t even speak English and a French attitude towards the English speaking customers was not nice and we did spend three nights with them and pay about $1200 and was hoping to get a better care
Not much just a great view of the city, and not far from attractions.
No A/C, staff refused to accommodate based on complaints, promised refund for accommodations and did not refund. Customer service for room service were poor. Breakfast was poor for the expense of 50$.
