Pros:

Everything apart from one thing

Cons:

One of the afternoon staff was quite rude, I asked for an extra pillow and was told on the bedroom phone that they did not have any, he didn't even say I will go check, how would you know in a hotel if there aren't any spare pillows without looking and what kind of a hotel doesn't have spare pillows..

Unbeatable location
Pros:

Great location! Best pub foods! Good breakfast and shopping. Lovely harbour and beaches, parks.

Cons:

Bath tub water not hot enough - something wrong with water tap system and water level sinking due to faulty plug.

an excellent locationnfor the Historic Dockyards with free onsite parking a real bonus
Pros:

- an excellent location, a minute's walk from the Historic Dockyard and not much further to the Gunwharf Quays shopping centre with many restaurants.Train and bus station just across the road.
-free on-site customer parking was a major reason for choosing the hotel. The car park is small but seems adequate.
- the Family Room had an excellent layout with 2 double beds in separate but connected areas.
- it is a characterful historic hotel with a long history
- breakfast was good, though not outstanding.
- the staff were very pleasant and helpful

Cons:

- the lack of air con was a bit of an issue in heatwave temperatures. It was somewhat helped by having dual aspect,so some through flow of air.
- the tv in the adult section was very small, though the one in the kids' area was normal size. It is normally the sitting/desk area of not in use as a family room.

We have stayed in the Keppels Head for a number of years and will go back again in the future, which I think is a good recommendation.

Cons:

I can't think of anything that we disliked about Keppels.

Pros:

The location is across from the train station so very convenient. The staff were all friendly. The room was clean. It was quite warm in the room.
The bed was quite uncomfortable; felt like sleeping on a camping cot.

Pros:

Delightful hotel that's over two centuries old and has a wonderful atmosphere. Our upper level room at the front of the hotel had a lovely view of the old dockyard and waterfront. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was excellent.
Bar and restaurant are very nice. Recommended.

L'endroit idéal pour qui débarque des ferries et souhaite visiter le quartier historique.
Pros:

Parfaite situation de l'hôtel près du terminal des ferries et tout proche des dockyards. Petit-déjeuner très copieux. Tous nos remerciements à la direction qui accepte de garder de nombreux bagages après le check-out jusqu'à une heure tardive. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Cons:

Aspect extérieur vieilliot de l'hôtel qui ne le rend guère engageant de prime abord.

Great location and value for money.
Pros:

Great location next to the Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Shopping. Parking availability is a big plus. Our room was very comfortable with a nice view of HMS Warrior. Breakfast was very good.

Cons:

The shower in our bathroom was a little problematic with a loose shower head and very stiff controls. However, we didn't mention it at the time as we only stayed one night.
