Brilliant
Pros:

Great freshly prepared food. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Air conditioned room, much appreciated in this heat! Free parking and excellent location for exploring the historic dockyards and spinaker tower.

Brilliant as always 🤩
Pros:

On our visits to Portsmouth we always stay here and have done for many years ! It speaks for itself , comfy clean rooms , polite staff, good breakfast and great locality . Would defo recommend 👍

Pros:

I liked the overall ambience, very relaxed, informal and friendly. Not in your face asking if you need anything but there if you did. Very haunting decor, like it.

Loved the history of the building and decor reflecting naval history. Close to facilities

Could not get the cold water to run cold it seemed to be hot.

Old timey charm
Pros:

Its proximity to the Portsmouth Harbor railway station, the bus stand, and the ferry to the Isle of Wight. And that it was air conditioned and fans were provided. I arrived during a heat wave and it felt wonderful to have a cool room.
The breakfast was really good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

There are steps to front entry and steps to the elevator. Not easy with luggage.
The room service is a bit lackadaisical- no signs of anything really being done.

Small room no 38. Side of Bed was beneath open window and TV on opposite side wall so couldn't sit or lie in bed to watch TV.
I paid extra to change rooms.

Fantastic location for the dockyard and Gunwharf
Pros:

Great location, nice clean room, great shower, air conditioning (brilliant), free parking right next door (amazing)

I had a single bed, not problem in itself, but it was like sleeping on a plank

Doby hotel w dobrej cenie.
Pros:

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, obok dworca autobusowego i kolejowego, przystanek autobusu do miasta znajduje się przed hotelem, Idealne miejsce na zwiedzanie i krótki pobyt. Pokój rodzinny to dwa osobne pokoje z telewizorami. Jest klimatyzacja i dodatkowy wentylator. Łazienka z prysznicem jest czysta. Bardzo dobre białe ręczniki. Łózko bardzo wygodne. Zestaw do zrobienia kawy/herbaty/ czekolady był miłym dodatkiem. Śniadanie nie było wymyślne, ale zupełnie wystarczające. Nie korzystałam z restauracji, ale dobrze, że ona jest na miejscu. Bez problemu można zostawić bagaż przed i po. Bardzo miła obsługa.

Cons:

Wyposażenie pokoju jest skromne ale wystarczające, jednak niewielkie prace odnowieniowe (podrapane meble) zrobiłyby dużą różnicę. Nie do przyjęcia było bardzo brudne tapicerowane krzesło, na którym bałam się usiąść bezpośrednio. Wyprana tapicerka odmieniłaby wygląd całego pokoju. Wszelkie plamy na ścianie również na tym etapie można by po prostu umyć.

Keppel’s a keeper!!!
Pros:

Excellent location, central to shopping centre, train and coach station, taxis and a short walk to city centre.
Lovely bar and restaurant. The bar area has an interesting selection of books and drinks, of course!! 😀

Cons:

The rooms are missing hairdryers. Possibly these are at the reception, but it was not mentioned at the checking in and when needed in a hurry it would be great to either know about it straight away or, better yet, have one in the room.
