334,- € für ein kleines Zimmer, dessen Einrichtung nicht mehr besonders gut in Stand war, sind einfach unverhältnismäßig teuer.
Beim Frühstück laufen 7 Angestellte herum, von denen nur zwei sich nicht in Zeitlupe bewegen. Wenn man Kaffee bestellt (kann man nicht selber an einer Maschine zapfen) dauert es lange und irgendwann fragt sich eine schlafmützige Angestellte von Tisch zu Tisch, wer den Kaffe bestellt hat. Das ist nicht würdig eines fünf Sterne Hauses!
Very disappointed with our stay at Sofitel Strasbourg. We booked the Imperial Suite for 3 nights, expecting the comfort and service of a 5-star hotel.
The air conditioning in the suite was not working properly. For the first two days, we were repeatedly told that the issue was being fixed. However, when it could not be resolved, we were told that the two bedrooms did not have AC vents and that only the master bedroom was air-conditioned—despite both rooms having visible vents and temperature controllers.
Instead of fixing the issue, we were advised to open the windows, given portable fans, and even told that family members could sleep on the sofa beds. We did not book an Imperial Suite to sleep on sofa beds because the bedrooms were too hot to use comfortably.
The lack of a proper solution and the poor handling of the situation were extremely disappointing and far below the standards expected from a 5-star hotel.

The location is absolutely excellent. However, unfortunately, the negative experiences we encountered overshadowed this.
The room service certainly did not deliver a 5-star hotel experience. A dirty room, missing towels, and unreplenished water—it was absolutely terrible.
Is the breakfast worth the cost? I don't think so. We had to remind the staff repeatedly—and wait half an hour—just to get the cheese platter refilled, almost every single day. The service staff were extremely surly.
The telephone in the room wasn't working. Furthermore, they locked the refrigerator at the end of the second day.
In summary: It is highly questionable how this hotel managed to earn its 5-star rating with this level of service.
