Very spacious rooms and good shower pressure with nice soaps
The pool and sauna was a very nice option too!.
I wasn't a fan of the continental breakfast but that might have been due to poor choices made by me.
The staff in all departments were helpful and professional. The Manor has a lovely atmosphere, that felt welcoming and wrapped you in comfort. The bedroom was very clean and everything to hand sand the bed very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.
In the bedroom I would have preferred an information book, eg, room service, times of check-out and breakfast times. I know it said on the television to ring reception, but woukd have preferred a one page sheet with thd information on. Just a personal preference.
Nice quiet location with lovely rooms, modern with all expected amenities, breakfast very good
WiFi was tricky to connect to
A really disappointing poor stay.
Room poor - misled by photos that are not truly representative of the sub standard room we were provided with. Fire door just next to room that banged and squeaked every exit or entry. Which meant late into the night, the door banged, and from about 06.00am. Very little sleep. Booked superior king room. dirty carpet, shabby room. no wifi possible
Staff were great and hotel was lovely
In the spa area the loungers looked sodden and dirty. Not very inviting to lounge in them. Plus no cups available for the water.
Location is good, parking was easy.
The air conditioning was not working in two of the three rooms I booked. Although the hotel manager eventually moved us to different rooms, this should not have happened in the first place. Breakfast was also disappointing, with flies constantly around the fresh fruit and cheese. In addition, there was no lift and the corridors were narrow, making the hotel unsuitable for elderly guests.
The roses. Though I would have loved labels on examples to identify them! Generally the grounds were lovely. And we loved the church, beautifully preserved but also charming in its slightly abandoned grounds, very special.
We appreciated the complimentary drink too.
Nothing really
I surprised my boyfriend for a stay at Billesley Manor. It was the most incredible stay. Our room was wonderful, the interior was lovely.
During our stay, we made use of the tennis court and the pool, which was so much fun. We were in fact lucky enough to have the tennis courts all to ourselves. We also explored the grounds, and there was an interesting information board to read about an old village which was once on the grounds.
A huge shoutout to the brilliant team at Billesley. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and had a smile on their face - it really does make a difference. From reception, the bar, the restaurant and the spa - everyone went over and beyond to make us feel welcome. The manager on the bar was particularly lovely and helpful, as well as the restaurant staff. One young man, who was our waiter, brought out a little birthday surprise and took it upon himself to sing happy birthday which made us all giggle!
Overall our stay was perfect and I couldn't have wished for a better birthday surprise for my boyfriend. Thank you team Billesley!
The grounds are beautiful, when the pool is open it's great. Unfortunately during our stay it was closed for a period due to a technical issue. Swimming for children is at set times. The breakfast was very good! The room was lovely and clean but situated in the roof (room10) and birds are nesting so you can hear them all night.
We were allocated a room with birds nesting - the hotel admitted they knew the issue but failed to tell us. Offered to move but moving 2 children late at night is not possible (we came late following air show)
Not informed of swim times - unhelpful when calling up and checking.
Really nicely decorated room and beautiful gardens.
Pool was a little tired. Staff chaotic at check in due to a computer glitch.
Beautiful buildings and well manicured gardens
No dislikes
Beautiful building and gardens, comfortable air conditioned room and friendly staff
We could not fault anything about this amazing hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are comfortable and beautifully furnished, the food is excellent and the grounds are expansive, attractive and well maintained.
Be sure to visit the small All Saints Chapel within the grounds of the hotel. If it's locked, reception hold a key.
We will definitely return and next time we will bring family and friends along too.
The terrace outside was amazing. The setting is perfect. Food is good. Staff amazing.
The leaking air con unit on our first night. Breakfast was half an hour late Friday but the staff were amazing and did everything they could.
