Via dell’Indipendenza is now totally pedestrianized, consequently it is mandatory to reach
the Hotel’s side entrance in Via Manzoni 2 (Restaurant “I Carracci” entrance) where the valet service will take care of your car and luggage.
TRAM Bologna: Urban Development Update – A Step Towards a Greener Future
We are pleased to inform you that, as part of an important urban development initiative already underway in Bologna, construction works will begin in front of our hotel from early June 2025 until the end of the year.
This phase involves the installation of tracks for the city’s new electric tram line, which is expected to become fully operational in 2026.
This project will lead to the full pedestrianization of Via dell’Indipendenza, significantly enhancing the tranquility, safety, and charm of the area.
Once completed, our guests will enjoy a quieter, cleaner, and more sustainable environment right in front of our property.
We are proud to share this forward-looking transformation, which reflects Bologna’s strong commitment to sustainability and to promoting a more walkable, people-friendly cityscape — especially along the city’s main boulevard, where the Grand Hotel Majestic is proudly located.
Throughout the construction period, and once the tram is operational, our guests will still be able to arrive by car via the hotel’s side entrance on Via Manzoni, as already happens on weekends and public holidays.

Beds were a little uncomfortable
I cannot compliment this hotel enough! The hotel is excellent, our room is lovely and we really enjoyed the breakfast. And the meal in I Carracci was amazing!
Perhaps most important is that every member of staff is a credit to the hotel. From the reception to the bar staff, the restaurant, breakfast staff and the housekeepers, all are polite, respectful and extremely attentive. I cannot compliment them highly enough!

Wunderschönes, altes Hotel im historisch italienischen Stil. Zentrale Lage perfekt für Besochtigungen. Zimmer komfortabel, ruhig, gut klimatisiert. Personal freundlich und perfekt.
Es un hotel perfecto, quizás la decoración no sea de mi gusto por ser excesivamente barroca pero he ido ya dos veces y repetiré porque se está muy muy cómodo y el personal es excelente.
La decoración no es para cualquiera. Pero es su estilo.

Номерной фонд очень старый - лет 15 точно не видел ремонта. Не стоит своих денег точно! Душевая течет от старости - лужа образовывается в ванной. Постельное белье худшее что когда-либо встречал - колючее, жесткое, просто ужас. И так во всем…
