The rooms were big and comfortable, I actually didn't want to leave. Really liked the bathroom. Everything was clean. Breakfast was good. The restaurant and bar are also quite nice.
The window in our room... we were there during a time that was quite warm by Irish standards, I guess. Our room was facing the afternoon sun and was extremely hot because of that (my sister's room was facing the other way, and it wasn't as bad in their room). The hotel had a ventilator running already when we arrived (no A/C in the rooms, which I personally don't mind), but it was not possible to open the window to help cool down the air. I understand that it's not possible to have it fully open in certain hotels, but it wasn't even possible to tilt it open for a couple of centimetres (because of the way the window was built into the wall) to get at least some air circulation. This meant the room was extremely hot the entire time, even though it cooled down considerably outside during the night.
As this is a building issue, of course, staff couldn't help with it; this is just a heads-up for people staying there during "heatwaves". If you can't deal with a hot room, you might want to ask them for one that doesn't face the afternoon sun.
Personally, I appreciated the complimentary drink at the bar :)
Staff were lovely and welcoming.
Lovely size room and ensuite, the room was very warm but the fan was a big help. We weren’t there long enough to use the spa but the bar did great food. Very helpful security guard at the end of our night out, got us extra tea & coffee. It’s a taxi ride from Killarney at the end of a night out but not too far.
Very good facilities, great location, plenty of parking and excellent breakfast.
First time I saw the "time out pods" and I think they are an absolutely fantastic idea! Really good, never saw them before!
Needing ID, luckily I had my drivers licence with me. When I quipped with the staff about not thinking i needed a passport to come to Killarney, the response was "you're from the north". I was a bit taken a back to be honest and said we are all Irish. I did not persue this with the check in staff at the time as they weren't Irish. I did feel it was a bit offensive though 😕 especially on the day was in it, huge match with thousands of Armagh fans travelling to Kerry. I've been to other parts of Kerry with no issues and did feel disappointed with our reception.
Very clean and bar and restaurant nice
Bed very small for double bed
Camera e gentilezza dello staff
La pulizia non impeccabile
The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
There was nothing in particular that we didn’t like. Everything was fine during our stay.
