The expectation of luxury
There was not a room available!!!!
We love the room
We did not expecting a resort fee
Tiffani made arrival and check in amazing. We spoke for a few and she is a great front facing team member.
Nice room with a great view. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.
There were no flat sheets on the bed and the body wash was completely empty in the shower. I had stopped at the desk on my way up at night to request 2 sets of flat sheets. While my child was in the shower, she called out about the body wash so I called down to housekeeping. A few minutes later someone showed up with body wash and 1 set of sheets. He had to go back and bring a second.

Great location
To many surcharges and taxes, even the car got taxed.
We had an approved early check in (3:00) room wasn’t ready until after 5! We missed our ride to our reservation, had to take a cab. Had to change clothes in the downstairs bathroom and then it was closed for cleaning!
Very poor organization and no extra accommodations for all the people waiting for rooms. We were not allowed to even sit in the pool area without a key!
Poor customer service.
The room was not ready when we checked in I got there at 7pm. Check in was at 3pm. I ask why they had no explanation or no eta on when it would be ready. Me and my kids traveled from Las Vegas with no where to go. The line was 30 min wait and they just said skirt for the inconvenience. Never experienced nothing like this ever.
Very clean
Very luxurious
Staff was amazing
The Bar was packed and I requested a certain drink and the bartender didn’t know how to make it he googled it and realized he didn’t have the correct ingredients
Food at the lobby bar was great. Great service at the bar.
Rooms are outdated. You ccould hear evetything through the walls and one day there was brown water running out in the shower and sink. Not sure what happened but it was totally gross.
Driving in from LAX, parts of the route through Long Beach looked rundown and not especially inviting. The Westin itself was a clear step up. The coppery exterior and surrounding landscaping looked sharp on arrival.
Valet was prompt and helpful with luggage. I arrived early. They offered a room immediately but said waiting a short time would get me a better one, so I left the bags with bell service. Like every other hotel I’ve stayed at, they said they would call when the room was ready. They never did. I had to return to the front desk and ask. It was ready. This has happened at every property that makes the same promise. I actually have a dedicated hundred dollar bill sitting lying dormant in my wallet awaiting the first hotel employee that actually calls me when my room is ready. It will be all theirs when they do; and I will recognize them for being the first ever to have done so in my personal decades of staying in hotels…!
The room was nicely done and elegantly decorated. The linens were excellent and the bed was comfortable. I had a city view rather than water, which was fine. Public areas (lobby, bar, restaurant) ran warm in the summer with the large glass and cavernous volumes, but the room air conditioning worked decent and kept a good room temperature. One detail I really appreciated and wish more hotels would incorporate: a filtered water station next to the ice machine.
Location worked well for the business meetings I had the next morning. I’ve been a long-time Hilton Diamond member, but Marriott properties like this one are starting to pull me over on overall quality. Solid stay once in the room, with a few operational misses that keep it in the 3.5 to 4 star range for me.
