Almost like heaven
Pros:

We liked everything, the environment, surroundings, the staff was wonderful, the food and all the restaurants were amazing. The room and the bed was wonderful.

Pros:

Tudo excelente. Atendimento dos colaboradores é excelente. Limpeza excelente. Café da manhã excelente. Quartos espaçosos e com linda vista. Sauna boa.

Cons:

Tive um problema com a tarifa no check In. No booking, tinha um determinado valor e na hora do check In tinha um valor maior. Depois de exigir a tarifa do booking deram um desconto de 2/3 no aumento, mas ainda paguei mais. Não era para ser assim. Fora isso nada a reclamar. Os colaboradores são excelentes e muito educados (todos eles).

Não tem mais as bicicletas disponíveis para os hóspedes, era um grande atrativo.

This resort is beautiful…. HOWEVER THEY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE TO BOOK OR FOR INFORMATION. It’s extremely frustrating when trying to get in touch and they simply hang up each call time after time. Ritz Carlton… do better!

Beautiful grounds. Wonderful for taking walks. Very helpful staff, Alexandra in particular.

Cons:

Location is too remote. Great as a golfing destination. Service staff is inconsistent. Drinks are very expensive and skimpy.

Amazing experience for family stay
Pros:

We recently spent two nights at Penha Longa Resort with our 3-year-old, and it was truly an amazing experience for a family stay.
The highlight for us was the kids' playground—both the indoor and outdoor areas are absolutely amazing and kept our little one fully engaged. Beyond the kid-friendly amenities, the resort offers an incredible sense of quietness and peace. It is the perfect place to truly relax and unwind.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and very well-appointed, providing plenty of space for the three of us. We also looked forward to breakfast every morning; the combination of a high-quality buffet and delicious à la carte options was a great touch.
What really sets this resort apart, however, is the staff. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, assisting us with our luggage and seamlessly arranging a late checkout for us. We can’t recommend this place enough for families looking for a luxury getaway!

Exceptional Service and Stunning Views at Penha Longa
Pros:

I’ve just spent a wonderful couple of days at Penha Longa on a business trip, and the overall experience was fantastic. The staff were brilliant, the rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, and the views were absolutely stunning.

The resort itself is large, interesting, and has a very relaxed atmosphere. I planned to go for a run one morning, but it was still too dark, so I opted for a long walk instead — and it was incredibly pleasant. There’s plenty to explore around the grounds without ever feeling like you’re intruding on anyone’s space.

The staff truly couldn’t do enough to help. As I walked around, everyone acknowledged me with a warm “good morning” or “good evening,” which made the stay feel even more welcoming. The conference facilities were excellent and very comfortable.

The food at the resort was top‑notch genuinely some of the best I’ve had on a business trip.

I wouldn’t limit this place to business travel either. It feels perfect for an adults‑only escape or a family getaway.

If you’re looking for a fantastic place to stay near Estoril, this is an excellent choice.

Pros:

We had a truly delightful stay at this hotel. The service was exceptional - attentive, friendly, and highly professional throughout. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The on-site restaurants offered a diverse selection of dishes. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I would gladly return.

Unforgettable Stay at Penha Longa Resort
Pros:

We had an amazing stay at Penha Longa Resort — it truly felt like stepping into a different world tucked into the mountains of Sintra. The setting is incredible, and the slightly cooler weather made it even more enjoyable compared to the city.

The hotel itself has clearly had a recent facelift, and everything feels fresh and well done. Our two-room adjoining suite was perfect for our family — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out.

The food options were outstanding across the board, and breakfast was absolutely over the top — easily one of the best we’ve had traveling.

What really made the stay special, though, was the people. The staff overall was fantastic, but a few stood out:

Leonor at the pool was incredibly kind and personable, offering great local recommendations and helpful menu suggestions for our week
Claudia at the front desk went above and beyond — truly exceptional service
Raquel, one of the managers, was always present and checking in with guests. When she heard we were heading to Lisbon, she shared great insights and even printed a travel guide for us

This is an extremely family-friendly resort and a great place to spend a full week with kids. It’s also a perfect home base for exploring Sintra and nearby Cascais.

Overall, an extraordinary experience — we’ll absolutely be back.
