I think it is official, Marriott hotels treat veterans and government employees with substandard service. This is the 3rd time I have checked in at a Houston Marriott, Westin, & JW Marriott, where I have been checked in differently because I have a service dog and I am on the government rate. FOR THIS STAY, First I could not find my government ID, the check in woman kept repeating, I will give you a warning but you need your government picture ID. I finally found my ID. But she repeated it to my 5 times, I guess because she thought I was less intelligent than the average person. I have over70 nights at Marriotts (this year so far) yet I was placed on the “dog” floor because I have a service dog and not offered an upgrade like the other 2 guests behind me. My keys didn’t work in the elevator (I tried 2 different ones) and when I returned to the desk and told her, she said “you did it wrong.” Not sure how you mess up holding a key to a reader, but obviously the keys didn’t work. I asked her why I didn’t get the same treatment as the other guests and she replied with “ma’am, I reviewed your amenities with you.” I explained she didn’t and she basically called me a liar. I am so done with Marriotts and will be making sure the government knows Marriott hotels are discriminating against disabled veterans and treating government employees like we are less than important as others. Great job Marriott!

Enjoyed our stay!

My hubby and I have been staying at the Westin Galleria for a few weeks and all the staff are great that work in the hotel. But I must say, the highlight of our visit has been Vilma in the Club Lounge. Vilma is amazing!! Talk about someone with a wonderful personality, who genuinely makes you feel better just by being greeted by her in the mornings. She is a true gem! Very accommodating and she ensured that my husband and I were well taken care of each day. Westin could not have a better person orchestrating the lounge. Vilma, you are exceptional at your job and it was a true pleasure getting to know you. I pray that we will have an opportunity to see you again on a future visit. Take good care and be blessed! Yummy Yummy!

La ubicación perfecta dentro del mall, las habitaciones amplias y silenciosas. Todos los servicios disponibles. Buenos restaurantes cerca. Personal amable.

Cons:

El internet. El sistema no me gusta, me parece complicado y caro.
La TV, no pudimos conectarnos con nuestros datos, me obligaba a tener el internet de la habitación y eso, como ya dije, estaba complicado.
La puerta del baño hacía mucho ruido al recorrerla.
