Pros:

Overall, this hotel is fine - clean and fairly comfortable. However, I always have a bad time at check in. The wait is extremely long and after a long day of travel, that is frustrating.

Great service by Abdul at the restaurant in the morning!

⭐ Exceptional Service from Start to Finish

Our stay at the Westin Washington, DC was outstanding from beginning to end. Even before we arrived, the staff provided exceptional service by proactively giving us detailed directions for accessing valet parking during Pride Weekend. With the parade route causing significant traffic and road closures, their guidance helped us avoid the congestion and made our arrival completely stress-free.

Check-in was quick, smooth, and welcoming. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, and we appreciated the thoughtful gesture of being offered complimentary water upon arrival. Every interaction with the staff was pleasant and professional.

Overall, it was a delightful experience, and the attention to detail made a lasting impression. We would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Washington, DC and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Pros:

Breakfast was ok. Staff were polite and informative.

Cons:

The ac unit did not work properly and the room could not be cooled down even after lowering the temperature on the wall control.
Confusing that I thought I already prepaid breakfast only to find out at the end that I was still charged breakfast separately in addition to the room price.

Pros:

Not good. This is probably the worst Westin I have ever visited. DC is generally depressing and run down right now, but I was hopeful that the Westin would be at its usual standards. It is not. The room feels dirty. The restaurant is sub-optimal. The area around the hotel is a bit scary. I will not stay here again.
