The property was gorgeous

Cons:

What we were most disappointed with was that we specifically booked an ocean-view room and were not provided with the room we reserved. We were told that the manager would be notified when she arrived at 7:00 a.m. and that we needed to email proof of our stay.

When we spoke with the manager, she was extremely kind and professional. She apologized for the situation and offered us a $90 refund, which we appreciated. However, when the refund was processed, my card was actually charged instead of receiving the refund.

Beyond the issue with the incorrect room, I’m frustrated with how the situation was ultimately handled. We paid for an ocean-view experience that we did not receive, and a $90 adjustment is only about 14.3% of what we paid. Considering that a significant part of what we specifically booked and paid for was not provided, I feel the compensation should have been substantially more.

I understand that mistakes happen, and I appreciate the manager taking the time to speak with us and apologize. However, I do expect the billing issue to be corrected and believe a more appropriate refund should be considered given that we did not receive the room or experience we originally paid for.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff.
Pros:

We really enjoyed the location, the "look" of the hotel, and the staff. We were only in town for one night, so we didn't get a chance to use the full amenities they had available.

Cons:

The pool itself was wonderful, and the people were great as well. I especially enjoyed the music the hotel was playing, which really added to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was a small group of guests who brought their own waterproof speaker and played their music so loudly that it completely drowned out the hotel’s music.

Situations like this can be frustrating, especially when guests are trying to enjoy the atmosphere the hotel has intentionally created. It also felt somewhat out of place for the overall quality and atmosphere of the hotel. Perhaps the hotel could consider having a policy regarding personal speakers in the pool area to help maintain the relaxing environment for everyone.

Grand Galvez Resort was the perfect getaway
Pros:

My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Galvez Resort. The property was beautiful, the pool area was relaxing and well maintained, and the staff provided excellent service throughout our visit. The only negative was the cost of drinks at the bar, which seemed a bit overpriced. Other than that, it was a fantastic getaway.

We expected Grand treatment for the price but we were sorely disappointed.
Pros:

The beach access and pool were wonderful.

Cons:

The room was not prepared for the two of us (only 1 robe) and hardware and towel rod were loose or fell off. Also house cleaning only came if we requested it but we were not told that. All in all, at almost $350/night the room service was terrible although the facilities were great!

It was very nice
Pros:

Great view of the beach, rooms was very clean and enjoyed time at the pool the beds were comfortable

Cons:

Leaving I requested Bell to come get our bags they never showed up so I went down and got a cart and loaded my own and it took a while to get them to bring my car around.

Wonderful property; definitely a boutique hotel with a fantastic pool with swim up bar and great food
Pros:

I loved the decor, the pool area, the proximity to the beach, the beach chairs, towels and umbrella that were included.

Cons:

There was no self parking and the valet staff was limited and way behind when we checked in. The rooms are very small. The toilet was a tight squeeze between shower and sink and the walking room around the king size bed was tight.
