Over priced for an old run down room and expensive restaurant, breakfast a let down
Pros:

Not a lot, check in was friendly and efficient, nice staff overall.

Cons:

When I checked in I was told she had moved me to a king from a double but effectively it was two singles so I had less room than a double. The room looked at a concrete wall. The room was old, extremely worn, dusty in corners and had the oldest TV I've seen in a long time. No water provided. The bathroom was the biggest issue, mouldy, bath completely worn, grout around bath moudy, cracked and missing in places, side of bath competely worn and floor uneven in places. This room shouldn't even be on sale. Restuarant extremely expensive for dinner, tiny fish and chips for £24, cooked breakfast was tiny as well - one egg, one tiny slither of bacon, many dishes had supplements of £6, cold buffet wasn't restocked, empty yoghurt bowl, no individual pots, meat and cheese run out, limited juices - overall very disappointing.

Overall, staff was very helpful and everything was clean
Pros:

We enjoyed having the swimming pool and sauna. Bicycles were also properly stored.

Cons:

It was priced a bit on the high side

It was an affordable option for access to wellness and gym facilities and great for access to the airport and Edinburgh
Pros:

Good location, there is an ageing but well equipped gym, the pool is a nice temperature and the steam room and sauna are great to have. Parking was also easy and right by the entrance and there was a lift to get to higher flours with luggage.

Cons:

It’s in serious need of a refurb and everything is beyond tired. The room has stained carpets, peeling paint, patchy grouting but was reasonably clean. The steam room has missing tiles and the gym is very worn. The service in the restaurant is friendly but a touch slow, however the meal was better than other reviews had led me to expect.

Enjoyable stay with family
Pros:

Love this hotel. Spa facilities are great and always take the kids along. Pool depth is great for learning to swim. Nice and relaxing by the pool.

Cons:

Sadly the bed was very uncomfortable on this occasion. I have stayed several times this year and usually no complaints but this did affect our sleeping.
