Location. Minutes from places of interest and quiet . Always nice to be able to sleep with window open without noise ……..
It was like stepping back in time . Rooms very tired and dated . Needs some serious maintenance and up dating to be done sooner rather than later .
The best thing about the property was the staff, they are friendly and helpful.
Rebecca in the restaurant was excellent and looked after us two nights.
Our room! It badly needs a makeover. We complained, they offered us another room but said they were all the same.
The bath panel was damaged, a hole in the carpet, water stains on the dressing table. The bed was very small and we aren’t large people!
It’s no value for money, we were over charged for a room that did not justify the price.

Tired, Room in need of refurbishment , furniture, bathroom. No extractor fan . Restaurant expensive, poor value for money. Cooked breakfast also poor.
I booked the Macdonald Inchyra on a Road trip round Scotland and for it’s proximity to the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel
My requirements were dog friendly and an EV charger.
The EV Chargers DONT work so if that’s a requirement don’t stay here! Only one person during the whole stay who was pleasant and helpful was the young man behind the bar.
Staff were terrible, unhelpful, unfriendly, unprofessional. Wait in the dining room to take our order, to serve us, to clear our table, to help me with EV chargers was hopelessly inadequate. The room had lots of issues, cold tap was running hot water, soap dispenser didn’t work, TV was useless and out of the ark.

Carpet in bed room was threadbare.
Hot breakfast was served before we finished our cereal and not enough room on the table for both.
Difficult to work out the lighting in the room
From entering to leaving the staff were fantastic.
They would have gotten 100% on everything if the bed was a bit bigger.
Hotel reception staff was a lovely girl x handling phones and counter customers with ease

The room was absolutely ancient & dirty/full of dust. We booked a king bed which was actually just 2 twin beds joined together.
There was a broken iron in the room.
The shower head looked it was from the 1950s & sprayed water onto the ground instead of contained within the bath tub.
It had a dusty “trouser press” in the room which God knows what the purpose of that was.
I understand maintaining old buildings etc but this was not worth the money at all. Only stayed here because of a wedding.
Also, breakfast we asked for no pork but still got pork in the meal. Staff were very friendly & welcoming but that’s about the only plus.

The setting was very nice - the building pretty. The bar area was pleasant. We did not use the spa.
Unfortunately, my room wasn’t made up properly, the pillows didn’t fit the pillowcases which were inside out so I was moved. In the second room the toilet made a horribly loud engine noise after flushing. The rooms were not serviced (hence tea/coffee not topped up, dirty tea cups were left and the bed not made or bathroom cleaned). It was not made clear that we had to request a room service.

Staff was amazing. Breakfast was delicious.
WiFi may as well not exist. Abysmal. And the signal around the hotel is near 0 as well so i had NO connection.
Guess how much Premium WiFi costs. 7.99 for 30 MEGABYTES of data.
