It's outside of town but quiet there. We liked the staff, the breakfast, and the facilities. All very nice.

An absolutely overpriced and underwhelming hotel to stay at. Hotel is as massively overpriced and I mean massively! The room was like your mums sitting room circa 1990s. Furniture tatty and old fashioned , carpets worn thin. Sockets behind bedside table not finished just gaping holes. Not enough sockets in the room for 3 people to each charge a phone as the majority of sockets have been switched to 2 pin European ones. All to penny pinch so you don’t use the electricity! Probably why they have taken out ththe fridges in the rooms to! Not enough complimentary items for 3 people just 2 of everything left in room. The restaurant is trying to be an up market affair but it’s really really not menu was quite poor and very uninteresting for vegetarians. Had to wait ages to order a drink as only one of the four staff were able to take our alcoholic beverage order as th test were under 18 - on a Friday night in a bar?? The breakfast staff weren’t much better at one point I had coffee poured into my lap then on my phone/ next morning the same lady took our order before a huge group of Spanish tourists and we sat and watched them all eat their breakfasts delish being served after us. Anyway I could go on but I will simply say save your money and book a travel lodge or premier inn. Hotel needs to have a major refurb or sort your price structuring out to reflect the type of hotel you actually are not the hotel you wish your were. In essence fur coat and no knickers. The receptionist was nice so I will say that as a positive ( young lady with fabulous glasses)

We purchased vouchers at Xmas to come to a McDonald hotel for a weekend and decided on here as it was 1/2 way beteeem my friend and I.
We booked the spa package with a dinner bed and breakfast stay on a Sunday night
The staff were super friendly. All 3 ladies we encountered were polite, chatty and well presented.
The spa itself isn’t what I’d think o of for a spa day type of thing ( no jacuzzi ) the area with sauna and steen too
Was off to the side and was small and the steam room was out of action
The treatment was worth the money, Claudia was amazing 10-10 to her.
The room was had was nice. Big with a searing / get ready area and big comfy bed . The window did open which was good as it’s been a hot summer.
Our shower in our room was too hot!! The cold side didn’t work! Although house keeping came and “turned the knob” it was no different from. The day before. Just the temp of yr hot was less as more folk were having showers at the time of day.
In our package the dinner allowance is £30 pp if you order right you could have 2 courses for this amount. Or 1 if you go for a steak.
The breakfast was spars when we arrived at 9 there was next to nothing available. I was unaware I could get toast to my table. We were informed that continental was available but hot needed to be ordered…. Slightly wrong as we saw a full bank of trivets of hot food!
I wish this had been better. For the price point it’s a shame as it has potential and with it being 1/2 between my friend and I would have been a good meeting point. Sadly I’m not sure I’ll be back

As a vital spa member 2 weeks ago after a swim I wanted to make an appointment for a treatment, I had had a bad experience in the spa in April and it had taken until then to get my courage back, but as there was no one at the health club reception went to the main reception asked the receptionist if there was someone available to make
my appointment but after she searched for him he was no where to be seen or found, she took my details and promised me someone would call me back that was 2 weeks ago and when I tried to post a comment on the Facebook page it wasn't posted or replied to.
They are quick at taking your monthly membership but customer service is not their first thought! Yes I could have chased it up but if someone promises a fallback then you would expect it.
Went elsewhere for the treatment.
