Great location but relying on reputation rather than actual quality.
Pros:

Amazing location and the staff were so friendly and professional. While the room was tired, it was actually very clean.

Cons:

For the price we paid, I would expect an up to date room and bathroom or at least free of any defects. It’s clear the sink and toilet were recent additions, but floor tiles were loose, there were rusty chips in the bathtub, grout was missing, and the silicone was mouldy in several places. The overall paint job in the room and communal hallways was also scratched and chipped.

Wonderful and another 4 night stay is in the planning.
Pros:

Absolutely everything.
Lovely friendly and helpful staff.
The very approachable manager (Lena) took our cases and bags to the taxi we had ordered to take us to our bus for our onward journey home.
We were upgraded to a gorgeous suite at the property and I am going to rebook there when a friend and I go to Edinburgh mid January 2027 to see a show.
We were totally spoiled and even though it was only for 1 night the property made a big impact on us.

Great location and service – special thanks to Edward!Our family had a great stay at Voco Edinburgh. The hotel's location is very good, making it quick and easy to visit the main city sights. The rooms and amenities met our expectations and were perfect for traveling with a family.All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and professional. We especially want to thank Edward, who was remarkably fast, helpful, and had a great sense of humor.

Petit déjeuner très bon, copieux et bien détaillé. Emplacement idéal : proche du centre à pied et surtout au calme loin du tumulte de la ville. Chambre avec belle hauteur sous plafond, thé café petits encas mis gracieusement à disposition.

Climatisation un peu bruyante dans la chambre.

Konumu iyi sakin bir yerde. Odaların büyüklüğü çok iyi. Kahvaltı yeterli ve temizdi.

Temiz değil, odanın tavan ve duvarlarında kalıplaşmış örümcek ağları vardı. Pencerelerin mekanizmaları bozuktu ve üstleri toz ve örümcek kaplamıştı. Çalışanlar (respsiyon ve kahvaltı salonu) sanki bedava kalıyormuşuz da bize lütufta bulunuyorlar gibiydi.

La localisation proche des transports en commun et à moins de 20 minutes à pied de la vieille ville..

Cons:

Petit point négatif.. (pas grave cependant), la dame de ménage a dû oublier de fermer la fenêtre après son passage et quand on arrive tard, il fait assez froid dans la chambre.

Schönes Hotel in ruhiger Lage mit einigen Unstimmigkeiten beim Service.
Pros:

Das Zimmer war sehr groß, und die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

Cons:

Wir waren als Familie mit Kind unterwegs. Allerdings war bei der Ankunft das dritte Bett nicht hergerichtet. Trotz zweimaliger Erinnerung, wurde dies erst erledigt, als wir abends um 22:00 Uhr zurück ins Hotel kehrten und noch mal daran erinnern mussten. Auch wurde vergessen, unseres Frühstück vor zu reservieren. Wann ist Dienstag insofern entgegengekommen, als wäre das erste Frühstück nicht bezahlen mussten.
